We fell in love with this lot because it has year-round deep water, but it's at the end of a cove where you can swim all day and not worry about boats going by. We designed the house around the dream of a great family and friends getaway.
There are 5 bedrooms that have king-sized beds, 4 of which have private bathrooms. There are 2 bunk rooms, one with 8 twin beds and one with 2 queens and 2 twins. There is one more bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed. 6 of the bedrooms have amazing views of the lake.
The large kitchen should easily meet your needs with two refrigerators, two dishwashers, a double oven, and a microwave. There are two living spaces with fireplaces and another space for ping pong with bar seating and a wet bar. There is also a theater room.
There is a screened-in porch off the main floor, a private deck off the master, and a large patio with additional decking off the ground floor. The deck off the kitchen has a gas grill.
The two-story dock has a jumping platform, pergola, swim deck, and hammock over the water.

The master bedroom is on the north side and does not have enough registers to heat the room even if the unit is running. Most of the time the unit never comes on because the thermostat is in the worst possible place in the kitchen where the heat from the stove keeps the thermostat satisfied so the heat never comes on. This may work very well in the summer, but does not work well at all in the winter. Angie told me about the space heater and that helped. There needs to be a space heater in the bathroom as it is even colder than the bedroom. I had to move the space heater back-and-forth between the bathroom and the master bedroom. The first two nights we were there sometimes during the middle of the night the heat would switched to 50 so we got no heat until the next morning. I got in touch with Angie and got her to change the thermostat so it would not do that. It should never have been set to that to start with. I suggest that Angie stay there a few times during the year so she can see how the HVAC units are inadequate for this house. Some of the rooms upstairs stayed too warm and some stayed very very cold. It seems that it’s only one thermostat to control three floors. Common sense would tell you this is not a good set up as each floor should have its own thermostat. There may be separate units for each different floor but they all seem to be controlled by one thermostat. If there’s more than one thermostat, we could not find them. The big TV was very good.

The home was very accommodating to our large family with ages 1-60! We all had a comfortable place to sleep and plenty of entertainment. Great little town with very friendly people.

This amazing property had it all! We were able to do as much (pickleball, basketball, ping pong, kayaking, swimming) or as little (lazing on the lake, sitting on the dock, reading on the deck, eating in the screen porch) as we wanted. There was something for everyone and there was so much space that we were not on top of each other. Perfect for our grandchildren who are all teenagers! We also got plenty of excersize going up and down the many steps to the dock. The bonus was... we worked off all the extra calories that we ate! We did not use the lovely fire pit area or the hot tub...the weather was way too hot. We had a wonderful time of family togetherness!

This house was absolutely beautiful. We had a family of 25 staying from age 2 to 75. All had a blast!!! They had more than usual amounts of hand soap, towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, A/C, room for 25 to sit and eat at the same time, kid eating area on screened porch, 2 coffee makers, 2 dishwashers and 2 fridges. There were a few things that would have been nice to have - more propane for the grill (only 1/2 bottle and 2 empties), hot water at the kitchen sink (this may have been because we couldn't figure it out). Hot water everywhere else in the house. Dock was full of spider webs which we get because it's in the woods, but we went down and spent 30 minutes cleaning before taking 13 kids down. Angie was amazing and responded to everything almost immediately. Overall consensus was that we loved our get together and would come back to Wedowee and this house.

This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. The home has plenty of space and right on the water. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home, great views, beautiful lake. Just be aware of very steep and long steps to dock. Not favorable for young kids or seniors for sure!! Be sure to bring toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels and even bath soap! Area is beautiful if you have a boat and can utilize the treck to the dock!

This house is truly amazing. We were only 15 and could have easily fit 10+ more people. Plenty of space for each of the four adult couples to have their own room and bathroom and then more rooms for the kids to distribute themselves. We played pickleball every day (take your own paddles and balls), made smores on the firepit and even went in the hot tub one day. Daily ping pong and foosball was also a blast. It’s sort of a windy road to get to the house and I don’t recommend it after dark but otherwise great stay.

Loved the quiet location! The house is very large and gave everyone enough room to spread out! You will definitely get your exercise going down to the lake! 105 steps to the water from the bottom level! Overall we loved it!!

The homes was really beautiful. However, it wasn't clean. The patios area wasn't clean enough to sit out and enjoy. First level washer dryer didn't work properly. Take your own iron. The stove and outside grill needs to be cleaned. The bathrooms were unsanitary. The main washer and dryer wasn't functional. We had to wash linen. Wasp flying and spider web on the patios. Bed bugs was on one of these beds. There is only one 40 or 50 inch tv in the family room. The house need to be upgraded with technology. Bedding well worn and need to be replaced. The house was very spacious. Nice inside and out. It can definitely use a thural cleaning. showers trying to all that oh yeah

This house is the perfect getaway for friends & family. The layout is perfect for multiple families. There is plenty of space to spread out, relax, play games, or enjoy your favorite movie in the media room. The property is right on the water. Only recommendation would be is for wine glasses in the kitchen and railings for the stairs to the lake. We look forward to visiting again soon!
