Pure slice of heaven, great host just amazing location
Erica was a great host. Very responsive with any questions I had. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for the weekend. I will definitely go back. Everyone had a great time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 10/10 and would definitely recommend staying staying here for your trip to Goat Island!
Property was exactly as described. Home owners were very friendly and communication was the easiest of any we’ve rented before. We highly recommend staying.
great time just what we hoped for
Nice house and plenty of room for sleeping. Very highest room upstairs does get hot and doesn’t cool off much at night. Plenty of dock room. We were able to put a 36ft 20ft 18ft and 24ft boat without tying up to each other but a low tide it get shallow quick. Iop marina is ridiculous with their prices. Of course not the homeowners fault but there should be a pass for the people staying on goat island. Instead of 56 dollars a night and worrying about the vehicles being booted or towed. Overall great house to stay and everyone on the trip had a good time.
Great place. Owners were as nice as can be and easy to get ahold of. Beautiful property, we had a blast just people watching all the boats go by. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Wonderful stay wonderful location Due to contact marina and new rules regarding access at IOP Marina logistics of access is complicated
this was a great place to escape from the norm since we were isolated.
Erica was great to communicate with and we enjoyed our stay!
We had a great few days at this 'true island getaway'! Boating, exploring and just relaxing before the wedding at the beach. We will be back! Excellent communication as well. Thank you!
We had a fabulous weekend in this cozy house! Erica was prompt with answers to questions and attentive to our needs! We can’t wait to come back!
We are huge boaters and recently purchased a center console boat to explore saltwater waterways, so this house worked perfect for us! Fantastic value when you consider you have your own dock and you are right on the intercoastal. Our family fished, went to the beaches in the area, even did a authentic low country boil one night. Overall a great week, we would stay here again.
Our 2nd time staying here & we loved it! Goat island is such a relaxing area! The hosts are very easy to communicate with & are quick with responses. Will definitely stay again!!
Couldn't be more satisfied with the accommodations. House was well maintained and well stocked with everything we needed for a 3 night stay (and there were 9 of us). The owners were extremely gracious and very quick to respond to any questions or needs. I would recommend this property without hesitation and hope we get an opportunity to stay here again. Thank you very much for everything Erica and Jeff!
Goat island is the perfect place to rediscover what matters in life - the connections and relationships we have with each other. We vacationed with our own family and extended family which included 3 adults and children ranging in age from 4-15. There were activities for all and we really didn’t even need to leave the island. We were able to enjoy 4th of July fireworks from Charleston and of course IOP from this location. The 3rd floor observation deck was our adult sanctuary. Our hosts, Erica and Jeff, were gracious and accommodating. They made a great vacation even better!
The location of your home is absolutely gorgeous, the island, the ICW, the boat access was everything we wanted. The home has great bones. The bedrooms were of good size and the beds comfortable. You and your husband were great communicators and prompt. However, the place was dirty and had a slightly unkept feeling. The last part of the dock is slippery with the sand and dirt, we had more than one person slip. There’s also a loose board if stepped on incorrectly it pops up. We noticed most other docks had a slower transition to the ground or front porch. (We both work in facility management so we notice these things.) The ceiling fans all had years worth of dust, the kitchen cabinets had an equal amount of filth built up on them, the stove hadn’t been cleaned, the couches were stained, crumbs left over from previous guests stuck to them, I didn’t want to sit on them… we tried to find a broom to help cleanup some of the dirt but couldn’t find anything. The vacuum cleaner canister hadn’t been emptied so were afraid to turn that on. The coffee pot had mold built up in it- we set it outside so no one mistakenly used it- see photos. The bathroom sink handles hadn’t been scrubbed and there was soap and toothpaste built up on it from previous guests. Not to mention the dozens of cockroaches. We expected them outside as we also live in Georgia but there are ways to eliminate them inside where they shouldn’t be a problem. We sprayed the interior for you around all the windows and doors- after this we didn’t see anymore. With two of your beds on the floor we were afraid the bugs would get to the kids and our suitcases. Overall we loved the island itself.
Great house and beautiful scenery! Wonderful porch overlooking waterway to have coffee in the morning and dinner at night! Perfect dock for hanging out, and plenty of water to get the boat out at low tide (we have a 30ft twin engine to give you an idea of size). The owner was very quick to respond with any questions and was very helpful! Can't wait to return!
We have rented this house for many years. The new ownership was very responsive and have made improvements to the property. We will be renting here again.
This house on Goat Island was just what we needed for a break from hectic schedules and life. The owners met us upon arrival and helped us get in and showed us house. The owners and the house were delighful. Best part of house is the huge porch that we sat on to watch sunrise and sunset and drink coffee and eat dinner. We walked every day and explored island. My son fished daily at the dock and my daughter rested on the lounge chair and watched all the boats go by. We rented a boat at marina to get us and to and from house. We also parked our cars at Marina while on Goat Island. The vacation was wonderful and the owners go out of their way to make everything perfect! Book your stay at Goat Island today so you can have the Greatest of All Time vacation!
