Kanab enjoys a mild-moderate change of season. It is a beautiful place to visit year around, even in the winter! The days are typically sunny, even when cold. The world famous Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is located just north of town in Angel Canyon; take a tour there or volunteer to work with the animals they serve. Ride a zip-line through canyons just miles north of town. Kanab is an easy day trip to several national parks, such as 40 miles to Zion National Park, 80 miles to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (seasonal from mid. May thru mid. October), and 79 miles to Bryce Canyon National Park.
Our Vermillion Canyon Hideaway home is very special to us and we are happy to share it with others. We hope you fall in love with it the way we have. Welcome and enjoy!
Extremely beautiful, clean home. The hostess was great to work with - very helpful with recommendations and easy to communicate with.
Very nice place. Nicely decorated. It fit our needs perfectly
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this home and have already booked 2024. It’s large, clean, and has plenty of parking for 3 - 4 trucks with UTV trailers. The owners take customer service to the next level with clear instructions and accommodations for a memorable stay. Our fav place!
This rental fit all of our needs , we were riding side x sides in backcountry around Kanab and it fit the needs with trucks and trailers on the property . Very clean and really nice setup with 4 beds and 3 baths . We would rent again for sure .
Senior trip for son in high school. The house did not disappoint or the beautiful views. Highly recommend!!!
Sue is such a great person. She texted before hand to make sure i had all the information for how to get there, how to get in, great places for food, and things to do. It was such a great experience. The house is beautiful, and is in a great location. Absolutely could not have asked for better. We all hated to leave, and we will definitely be going back again. This is definitely 5 star all the way with absolutely no complaints whatsoever! Thank you Sue!!!
Our family of 7, with 6 adults and one toddler, enjoyed our stay here very much! The house was perfect for us. Our grandson LOVED the play area downstairs! We had everything we needed and we loved the beautiful neighborhood. Highly recommend, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
What a gem of a property in a quiet residential neighborhood of Kanab! The owner, Sue, keeps the property in lovely shape and tip top cleanliness and her care for the property shows through every little detail in the house. You will truly feel at home here. Her eclectic collection of artwork is interesting to look at, appliances are high end and work as they should, the house is well furnished and equipped, the view out of every window is beautiful, nand the beds are very comfortable. What more can you ask for? Location-wise it doesn't really get better if you're looking to visit Zion, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, and the North Rim (which was snowed in when we visited, bummer). Kanab itself has plenty to offer. If you want a challenge, hike up to the top of the Bunting Trail (1500' elevation in about 2 miles) right in the neighborhood, about 1.5 miles from the house, where you can see dinosaur tracks and petroglyphs along the way. It has cute little restaurants (try Wild Thyme Cafe and Jakey Leigh's), sand caves nearby, and a very convenient and well-stacked grocery store. We spent most days in Zion and it's a scenic and easy 45 min drive to the center of the park where you can catch the shuttle. East Zion (the bit before the long tunnel) is a bit closer and offers its own share of lovely trails. We drove to Bryce for a day trip and Lake Powell/Horseshoe Bend for another. Both were gorgeous scenic drives to an even more gorgeous destination. Don't forget to stop by the Homestead Tribal Arts shop in Fredonia where they sell authentic Native American artwork and crafts for very reasonable prices. All in all, thank you Sue for sharing your home with us travelers. We had a wonderful time and hope you'll have us back next time!
The home was very comfortable, and we were happy to be there it made our trip very pleasant to be able to come home to a nice place, relax, enjoy dinner and be all together with our family. We have a room recommend this home to anyone traveling down in the Kanab area.
will come again
Great owners! Beautiful home and place. We love to come stay here.
The property was exactly what we wanted and Sue was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make our trip amazing!! I would definitely recommend!
Three couples and a single relative spent several days at this spacious 4 bedroom , clean house. After hiking every day we were able to relax on the back porch with the beautiful view of the Vermillion Mts. From the house there was a nice hike into the canyon. We also went to Antelope canyon( little over an hour) gorgeous! Coming back from Antelope we stopped at Horseshoe Bend and Toadstools. One day was Bryce which was an hour and half) Zion we did before Kanab, Narrows was a great hike in the river. House had everything we needed. Star gazing from front of the house was an added bonus! We definitely recommend this house!
Came to Kanab to run the Grand Circle Trail Fest. This beautiful home was the perfect spot for us 4 friends to recharge after running in Bryce, Zion and Horseshoe Bend. Great location, near all the restaurants, very clean and comfortable!! Loved everything about it. Communicating with the owners was easy and informative. Would totally recommend!!
Our first impression was the excellent communication with Sue. She covered everything in detail to make sure we had easy access to her home. We were delighted when we opened the house. It’s beautiful, warm, and inviting. Every window had a spectacular view of Kanab. We felt so lucky and privileged to stay in such a lovely home. Thank you!
This house was great. There were 3 couples renting the house. We all had plenty of room indoors & the house was equipped very nicely for all the cooking we did. The upstairs porch was great for meals with beautiful views. House is almost equidistant from Zion & Bryce Nat’l Parks. The property manager, Sue was GREAT. Absolutely would return if we go back to the area.
Outstanding property for our group of parents, grandparents, and grandchildren. Perfect amount of space, extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean property. Sue was amazing to work with and this home made the perfect base camp for SW Utah as within easy reach of Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Canyon National Parks. So much to see and do in the area! We plan to be back some day and will look at this property for sure!
Wonderful property for families to stay while visiting area parks. The home is centrally located to all the major parks. The back porch is a wonderful gathering place after a long day of hiking.
This house is wonderful. Beautiful views, very spacious, clean. 6 of us stayed there and were not on top of each other. Sue, the owner is very easy to work with. Being from Illinois, we were in awe of Utah. Would definitely stay again!!
