Mike was very clear in communicating and giving instructions . The house was beautiful and immaculate! We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and they supplied us with coffee! It is the perfect place to stay if you’re visiting the redwoods and Howland Hill drive. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thank you!
Our stay at the Smith River house was everything we wanted. It was very relaxing & peaceful. It was also close to the river, hiking & the state parks, a great location!
Great location right outside beautiful Redwood groves. Great house with plenty of room and had absolutely everything one could want....It was immaculate. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone!!!! And I can be picky
Love the property, location and the view. Will definitely be coming back in the near future.
Clean, well appointed. Owner let us know about road conditions which was very helpful. Would definitely rent again! The welcome wine was a nice surprise! Would highly recommend.
Best family stay we’ve had. We so enjoyed the surrounding sights and day trips. The kitchen is so well supplied that we made food everyday for picnics. Awesome experience
Simply the best!
The reviews on this wonderful house were accurate and true. Spacious, clean wonderful location to Howland Hill road and redwoods and swimming in the Smith river. A true playground of nature for kids. Great for entertaining and family meals. The Boy Scout Trail and Stout Grove hike nearby are simply an incredible awesome delight. Would recommend highly; hope to return ?
I have very high standards for cleanliness. This home was very clean which I appreciated. There was plenty of room for my family of 6 to spread out after a day of adventures in the redwoods and at the beach.
Clean, spacious, well maintained inside and out, had everything we needed and more! Beautiful home set in the redwoods near the river. Great place to stay!
If I were going to visit this area again I would want to stay here!
House was exactly as represented, very convenient, very quiet, responsive owner, all amenities needed, would totally recommend.
Great stay here, quiet, clean, comfy. Located on the same road as the Stout Grove and Grove of Titans. Perfect for visiting the Redwoods on the northern side of the National and State Parks.
This is a five star property, one of the best we've stayed in. Would recommend it very highly.
The house is so spacious. Plenty of room for everyone. I'm definitely booking this one again. Perfectly located for all our Redwood Forest activities.
We have stayed in VRBO's from Hawaii to Nova Scotia. This is one of the best! It is very clean, in a great location, the kitchen is equipped with more than you will need, the location is a short drive to Stout Grove in the Smith SP, etc., etc. Do yourself a favor and stay here. We will if we are able to return to the Redwoods area.
The property was great and was as advertised. Good instruction for use of house and plenty of room! Would definitely stay here again.
We love how close to trails and the redwoods we were. It was very clean and had all that we needed. Thank you for a great stay!
Great location in the redwoods yet 8 miles from the beach. Very well equipped with plenty of room. Beautifully decorated. Streaming TV but nice selection of live broadcasts. Would definitely book again.
Can’t imagine a more perfect location for two nights while exploring Jedidiah State Park.
We absolutely loved staying in the house. It was beautiful and had everything that we needed to cook with. To our surprise the house was located on the same road that all of the recommended hikes were on. The property had at least 2 beautiful redwood trees. And to top it off the bottle of Cabernet was a great welcome.
The home is lovely and CLEAN. Loved it! Ideally located to hike the local trails in Jedediah Smith Redwoods. The trails were gorgeous, incredible experience. Highly recommend this home. Mike was a superb host and very accommodating. We will be back!
We loved the large kitchen and separation of space between the master and secondary bedrooms. Host was very kind to bring an extra heater for my elderly parents. Can’t beat the location for exploring the redwoods & river. Better kitchen equipment-knives, pans, stovetop - would make it perfect. But what’s there is typical & probably fine for most folks. We just happen to be a cooking family.
We had a great time at Del Norte County. This place is larger than it looks in the pictures, clean, fully stock with items you and your family might need during your stay. The backyard is a great place to hangout and have smores with the kids. It looks and feel secluded and yet close to everything. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home.
Great location. My grandson loved playing in the river near the property.
We stayed here for two nights to explore the redwoods and do some hiking. This was the perfect location, just a short trip off the same road to the National park and just steps away from the Smith river. The house had a great fire pit for enjoying the evening with a nice beverage or some s’mores! Beds were a little hard but all and all a great place to stay.
