Stayed Oct 26, 2024We had major issues beginning the day prior to check in. For simplicity’s sake I’ll list them in order: 1. We received the address to the property from VRBO but no access code or check in and check out instructions. Emailed the owner twice with no response and had to seek assistance from VRBO support in order to finally get the issue resolved. They were great. 2. Finally received the code approximately two hours prior to check in. Upon arrival., The lack of attention to The care of the property was immediately noticed. 3. No garbage can in the kitchen, 4. No carpets anywhere in the house, 5. no working televisions in any room, no remote control for the one TV that did exist, 6. no working Wi-Fi (whose password we had to request and wait to receive). Attempted to contact owner, no response. 7. The floors were filthy. Dirty sock and used condom wrapper found under the bed. 8. Trash and debris found under Couch cushions. Clearly had not been cleaned in sometime. 9. The swing on the front porch was pleasant enough, but the “side table“ fell through when a cup was placed on top of it. 10. Insufficient curtains in the master bedroom Did not fully cover the window and allowed not only the sun to shine in in the morning but left guests openly vulnerable to anyone outside. We are frequent users of VRBO properties and have never had such a negative experience. If you are considering this property, I encourage you to continue your search. It’s simply not worth it.
