Beautiful home close to beach with deck, patio, firepit, WiFi, & gas fireplace

We had a great time at Ruby’s house. It was clean, we had plenty of room, and the place is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well-stocked. It is great that the property is so close to the lake, but we did wish we could have had a way to walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Ruby’s house was a perfect oasis close to Lake Michigan. You cannot beat that short walk to the beach.

We wouldn't stay again. The home is large and in a nice area but it's not as clean as the photos or as advertised. Our check in date was 10/1. I messaged on 9/24 to let you know that we had driven past the home and that the condition of the outside was not clean and not as pictured in the listing. The white house was covered in green Mildew. This is the only house on this street that had this issue as we could tell. I was assured that it would be taken care of and the house would be pristine upon check-in, as we had family coming from out of state. We checked in on 10/1 and nothing had been done as promised. Once we were actually at the home, and not just driving past, we noticed even more issues such as entire outside walls being covered in spider webs, even the main entry door. Porches also covered in dirt, mildew and spiders. Outside table is rusty. Inside was mostly clean, with the exception of stains on some furnishings, bedding and the random orange Bra my son found and pulled out of a couch cushion!! Our checkout was 10/7. We contacted Vacasa on 10/6 and we were told because we didn't complain earlier during the stay (we did before check in, the day before checkout and after checkout) that we would not be helped in any way. I should not have to have my stay with family we haven't seen in a while interrupted for the home to be cleaned, as it should have Already been done before check in. I was really disappointed in this house, for the money we spent I thought it would be cleaner and better taken care of. Weeds were over taking the outside and the firepit and gas grill was filthy with only one burner working. I would definitely not recommend it unless they step up repairs that are needed.

The property was comfortable for all 10 guests. Everything was sparkling clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for all our meals!

in town for wedding with a group of 10 people. House was perfect size and had EVERYTHING we could have needed for our stay. Very spacious and nice short walk to the lake. not even 10 mins to downtown South Haven, location is perfect to explore all the things the area has to offer. Several unlisted surprises with all the to-do things in the garage. Best surprise I had guest in from Georgia, Go Dawgs!!!!!

The location of the house is perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle. You can see the lake from the kitchen and it’s a short walk to the bluff and tram. Beware if you have allergies to dog dander!! I specifically rented this house because dogs were not allowed and only to get there to see a kennel available in a closet and the previous renters notes of feed “dog’s name.” Allergies started to kick in by the next morning. The sheets were not changed and we found that the master bed had stains on the sheets. Crumbs were on the floor and BBQ utensils were filthy. The house is a very nice size and fit everyone perfectly. Plenty of space for two families to walk around. The neighborhood is quiet and the complimentary fire wood was very nice as well as the backyard toys that were available on the garage.
