Stayed Aug 30, 2025Absolutely loved our time away at El Nido, Property management are brilliant and very responsive, waiting at the villa on your arrival. Getting to the villa you will need a more 'sturdy' car as the final stretch of road is quite World Rally Championship esque albeit we managed fine in a fiat panda. The villa grounds themselves are stunning, amazing views of the countryside and tranquil silence, the pool area and BBQ are beautiful with comfortable furniture and lovely plants. The villa itself is very clean, every piece of equipment you can think of in the kitchen, the basic stock of sundries which were available were very appreciated. Some parts of the villa could do with a bit of TLC but this doesn't pull away from the overall atmosphere. Shower pressure leaves much to be desired but it is as expected for being so far out in the countryside. Nearby town Alhaurin is lovely, enough bars and restaurants around and a few shops, we reccomend Santiago's ! Fuengirola is also a great town with lots Todo and see about 30 minutes by car.We would definitely recommend the villa to anyone considering staying, we are hoping to return soon !

Stayed Oct 21, 2023The outside area of the finca is fantastic. The pool is perfect, plenty of beds and seating. The inside was perfect for our family of four. Well equipped kitchen and the gas bbq was a bonus. We know the area well so wasn’t surprised by the rural location, it was peaceful and very private. The road up to the property is a typical rural road and just need’s careful negotiation. We absolutely loved our stay and have already planned a return visit. The only constructive criticism would be the lack of coat hangers, especially with teenage girls and spare pillows would have been welcome.

Stayed Jun 5, 2023The stay was absolutely great. A small minor point was the wind, to our opinion the house could use a turn of 90 degrees

Stayed Jul 1, 2022The views from El Nido were magnificent. And easy to reach lots of nice places to visit. You do need a car though, it was so hot when we were there it wouldn’t have been possible to walk to any bars or restaurants. However there were cards for a taxi service if you didn’t have a car. Villa was well appointed, pool was perfect for our 2 teenagers. Being higher up there was often a nice breeze to stop the heat being unbearable. We had a couple of minor issues when we stayed that were dealt with quickly and efficiently. All in all we would definitely go back

Stayed May 21, 2019Our whole experience of staying at El Nido was fantastic. Connie and James were both very friendly and helped us with any queries. The villa had everything we could wish for and was very clean. The pool area was exceptional with fantastic views of the countryside and a wonderful place for relaxing. The villa is in a fantastic location within easy reach of beaches and lakes. The wonderful town of Mijas is just 20 minutes away. Thanks again Connie and James and we hope to return next year

Stayed Jun 25, 2017We booked out stay at the villa blind as it did not have any reviews. But we liked the look of it and someone has to be first. Then a couple of weeks before our trip someone did review the villa. We were not put off, by a couple of the comments and were looking forward to our holiday. On our day of arrival, we had arranged to meet James at the villa at lunchtime. We didnt have too much trouble finding El Nido, the road is a bit bumpy but that's to be expected being up in the hills. The villa has everything you could need and is very clean and comfortable. The pool and patio was lovely, all enclosed by flowers and palm trees and the sun shining down on it all day. The outside eating area was perfectly shaded and lovely and cool. The previous review mentioned dogs barking. We did hear them but was not woken or put off by them, You are in the country and surrounded by woodland, would much prefer that than people shouting. You can walk into town from the villa but it's quite a walk, (about 25 minutes)but if your feeling energetic, why not. We visited many of the surrounding towns but found Mijas the most beautiful. We had a lovely stay, James and Connie are lovely and are very accommodating. PS ... Do not touch the buttons on the device,(on the cabinet) in the main bedroom, is not anything to do with the TV,............ it's an SOS...... and does work.....Thanks James for the late night call. Sorry?

Stayed May 20, 2017Booking was easy and it was very reasonably priced. Connie was fantastic and met us when we got a bit lost and gave us loads of info on the area, which you can tell she really loves. The Finca was really great, with the best garden furniture of any Villa we have rented anywhere. Pool was still a bit cold in May so we didn't really use it, but good size and very clean. Inside was well designed with nice little perks like a heated floor in the bathroom, big fridge freezer and pool towels supplied. Would highly recommend the Tapas restaurants in nearby Mijas especially Tomillo Limon. There are however three things which disappointed and that is why only 4 stars. 1st is the road up to the finca, it's pretty bad, it would have been nice to have been warned when we booked so we could have booked a 4x4 instead of spending the week crawling up and down it scraping the underside of the hire car. 2nd The barking dogs, I think there's either a breeder or a kennel just across from the Finca, and they howl and bark, on and of, throughout the day and night, so not really the tranquil setting we expected. 3rd and final was the hot water, showering was far from pleasant in both showers, you get about 90 seconds of hot water then it goes cold for 2 to 3 minutes, repeating over and over and if you have long hair it's quite a feat rinsing it. Would we recommend the Finca?? If you hire a 4x4, take earplugs, for the odd canine cacophony, and go when the weather is hot enough to want cold showers ...then yes, it is fab value and the pool area really is gorgeous.
