Stayed Aug 3, 2025Loved our time here. The house was exactly as pictured, with everything you need and more, and situated in such a peaceful, serene setting off a quiet dirt road. Close proximity to lots of activities/attractions. Jack was a great host.

Stayed Jul 7, 2021We had such a lovely stay at this home. It was in a great location with easy access to Camden, Lincolnville, and Belfast. The home was even better than described. It was super clean. Jack was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We will definitely be back!

Stayed Jun 11, 2021We stayed here for 8 days with our 2 kids 12 & 14. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. Close to the beach so the kids could walk to beach or town alone. The kitchen was fine for very basic cooking, which we only did a couple of times. I would definately recommend this place!

Stayed May 30, 2021Just returned home after a week at this place with my wife and two young boys. This home is an absolute gem. Very clean and looks exactly like it's advertised on the site. Check in was easy and Jack came over to meet us the night we arrived - -there was even an awesome gift packet with some local coffee and things. Location is perfect -- minutes drive to multiple other towns and only a couple of hours to Acadia National Park, where we went twice! The Fire pit in the back yard was a hit at nights, too (Jack even offered to bring us over some firewood). Do yourself a favor and book this place. We were very sad to leave.

Stayed Oct 4, 2020We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The house is even more beautiful in person. The design aesthetic is Scandinavian almost and the house was exceptionally clean. The rooms felt oversized and everything was new. Cleanliness was definitely sought after as there were bottles of hand sanitizer left around the house along with Lysol products and the host even left a bag of masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer for guests to use. He also left a bottle of wine for us which was very nice. The kitchen had all the basics for cooking and the bathrooms were well equipped with towels, soap, and shampoo. The fire pit in the back was also a great touch. The location is super convenient, set back off of route 1. It’s about 7 minute drive to Camden and you can walk to some shops in Lincolnville for coffee or a sandwich. Belfast is about a 15 minute drive as well. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

Stayed Sep 25, 2020The hosts and this house were above and beyond what we imagined! This house was SO CLEAN. It felt new and fresh, but was cozy with tons of character and charm. The house had everything you might need - pots and pans, beach towels, dry firewood, board games, and in this time of Covid, plenty of soap and hand sanitizer. Everything feels high quality and thoughtfully curated. The hosts went above and beyond by leaving a welcome gift on the counter - to highlight a couple things: a bottle of wine, coffee grounds for the morning, and locally made Maine Blueberry Jam. They also left recommendations for food, activities, and the information to the local artisans tying back to decor around the house. The location is great being walking distance to a coffee shop and sandwich store and close driving ~12 minute drive to the idyllic town of Camden. The house down a private road off Route 1 - it feels very private particularly from the upper deck looking out into meadows and the dedicated fire pit area. The one thing I would note, unrelated to the lovely house and hosts, is that many restaurants are closed Monday/Tuesday, so be sure to plan ahead for your trip to the Little Red Cottage.

Stayed Jul 10, 2020We could not have had a better stay at Jack's house in Maine. I want to highlight a few of the reasons why I strongly recommend staying at this property, especially for anyone with little kids (mine are 2 years old and 8 months): 1) Privacy -- the property is on a dead-end street with only 1 house further down the street and barely visible, and barely audible even when people at both properties are outside (that house is where Jack and his partner live). The neighbor closer to Route 1 was far away, and also very nice. Overall, the property is very private and you can hang out on the back porch overlooking a beautiful meadow with no humans to hear and nobody seeing you. 2) Thoughtfulness of hosts - Jack and his partner really set up the house nicely for us, with an entire COVID plan (including masks and hand sanitizer provided), snacks upon arrival, and also toys and a stair gate and crib for our kids. That was above and beyond! We felt very welcomed and like we had useful items for our stay already in the house, like beach chairs, a slide and swing for the kids, and beach toys. So thoughtful and really added to our stay. 3) The house is nice -- not much to say here other than the house is very well built, clean, and feels brand new! Even the items like cookware are high quality items that we could tell were bought specifically for the house, not for example just castoffs or flea market buys. The whole kitchen is stocked with brand new Cuisinart pots and pans.
