The cabin was clean, well stocked with everything we needed and in a beautiful area. It's close enough to walk to town, and we were able to do a little hike in the woods behind the house as well. There was a washer and dryer for our use which is always appreciated.

This was our second year staying here and we just love it. House is clean, bright, and open. We have three young kids and they just adore the bunk bed room and the backyard exploring and sledding. You really can’t beat the location as a home base for Cloudcroft and Lincoln National Forest, and even White Sands was a short day trip away. Ian is friendly and responsive and we hope to be back next year as well!

This is a great house, right on the edge of the forest for easy access hiking, but also near the heart of town with food, music, drinks and shops. In my opinion after spending a week in cloudcroft.. its the ideal location for privacy, yet minutes from all the fun. The house was spotless, comfortable, spacious but cozy. It's actually a lot bigger and prettier than the pictures online. The indirect lighting, fireplace and battery candles set the mood and made us not want to leave the house at night. The house is stocked with everything you need. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, laundry and dish items plus everything else so you don't have to go buy everything yourself. We found the four sled disks which saved us from having to rent them at White Sands National Park. We enjoyed the mule deer that wandered through the back yard every day and were excited to see the ferrel horses in the driveway. There are pretty lights on the back patio, lots of cozy blankets, comfortable couch, beds, and dining area. The main television is huge and has all the apps on it. There is a cute game center for the kids, plenty of storage to put clothes, suitcases, food, and travel belongings. There was even a dog bowl for our poodle that came along. We rent a lot of VRBO's and this one was one of the best. No complaints and we will come back.

The house was amazing. It was very beautiful, and the host was welcoming. We had such a great stay here. The kids had fun with plenty of activities, and the scenery was just so beautiful. The fence was perfect for our dogs, and we would just highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a mountain getaway.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The fireplace takes a minute to get started but once you figure it out (with help from the directions on the wall) it’s easy and warms the main area of the cabin. Make sure you take a side trip to Pistachio Land and White Sands.

This is THE BEST Vrbo I’ve ever stayed at! The cabin was beautiful, full of amenities, and you can’t beat having the full forest (with a trail!) right in the backyard. Check-in was super easy and the property manager/owner was quick to respond. Omg, and the bedding and towels were all so fluffy and warm. I would definitely book again!

Ian’s property was a perfect place to stay in Cloudcroft. We come here every year or so and this is by far our favorite location and favorite property that we’ve stayed in. The first thing that set it apart from other properties was the cleanliness- everything was spic and span for our arrival. We love the location as it backed up to the national forest and we had a hiking trail right out our backyard. We could hike to the Pines Campground area or go towards the OSHA Trail. There was also a very professional disc golf course within walking distance through the forest. At the beginning of the trip, it was just my husband and I and then our grown sons, granddog, and one wife joined us. The house was large enough for the five of us. The kitchen in particular was set up in a great way that there could be many of us cooking and not getting each other‘s way. The master bedroom was perfect- comfy king bed. The 2 other bedrooms were small- one had a queen bed and the other bunk beds (not great for adults). Our granddog immediately loved the house and was super chill and relaxed the whole time. We used the baby gate across the front steps and he was able to go out on the front porch and hang out. Because he is a big dog, we could not let him out in the backyard as the fence is very low. He would’ve chased the many deer and elk that we saw.Only a few recommendations--Bring your own food storage containers-replaced several lightbulbs -more eatting utensils needed

This is our 3rd summer to stay at this location. It is our favorite. It’s one story, minimal front steps, large kitchen, dining room and living room. It’s great for gathering everyone together. The large front porch has an awesome view and the back porch overlooks the national forest. We saw 6 wild horses that came through several times. It’s well stocked with anything that you might need.

This property is a complete do-over. The living area is spacious, with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed including a regular coffee pot and a Keurig coffee pot. Nice touch! We spent a lot of time on the front porch -- a very large area with comfortable seating and a table for playing games. We saw many deer from there and from the dining room table. One bedroom has bunk beds to this is not good for 3 couples but would be perfect for children. Lots of games and crayons and puzzles for the kids. Overall this is an excellent place to stay. We highly recommend it and will be back..

Our three night stay went well! We were a little deceived by the pictures, thinking this cabin was secluded. It’s in a neighborhood and the next door neighbors had 4 or 5 dogs that barked the entire time we were in the backyard. The fence is very short, but fortunately our two bigger dogs didn’t seem to mind. The neighborhood was otherwise very quiet! The kitchen is VERY well stocked with just about anything you need to cook a nice meal. The cabin was fairly clean, but the carpet in the living room should be shampooed as it has many stains. We contacted the host during check-in and check-out but they took a couple days to respond, maybe due to it being the weekend. We would enjoy staying here again if we ever visit this area again!

Was a pleasant stay adjacent to the Lincoln National Forest. In fact a hiking trail was less than a minute walk out the back door. Though not secluded the neighborhood was quiet and respectful, and had daily visits by the local Mule Deer. There is a small fenced-in area in the back for dogs but you may have to leash your pet if they are prone to jumping over fences to chase deer. Also, if conditions are dry then you should have no problem driving your 2WD vehicle up through the neighborhood to the cabin. If you are into hiking then there are literally dozens of hikes within 5-15 minutes drive. If visiting White Sands then you’re looking at a half-day excursion to really get into the park and walk the dunes, which is well worth it. Last tip: meal plan and hit up a legit grocery store before reaching Cloudcroft, and maybe bring your own preferred cookware if you are picky.

Nice cabin, great location. Went with 5 adults and didn't quite read the listing so 2 had to sleep in bunk beds. Nice to have BBQ and laundry. Main bed has a memory foam mattress that takes some getting used to but was nice. Great place to hike along forest boundary, and close to brewery which was best part.

Our stay was absolutely idyllic! The cabin was immaculately clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and a cozy fireplace that made for perfect evenings after exploring the nearby trails. Waking up to the stunning mountain views was a highlight, and the Neiborhood provided the ultimate relaxation after a day of hiking. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels and a smart TV. The hosts were incredibly responsive and accommodating, making our cabin getaway truly unforgettable

We absolutely loved our time in Cloudcroft. The home was super clean and loved how open it was. The bunk bed room was SO fun for the kids and they had pack n play, booster seat, and toys for the littles. Kitchen had all the basics and we cooked at the house each night. The best part was the house backing up to the Lincoln National Forest where we could explore, go sledding, and see wild horses and deer. Town was a short walk or drive away and we enjoyed Mad Jack’s BBQ, noisy water winery, Eight the Cake, and the brewery. The OSHA trail was great too. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

This cabin property is classic Cloudcroft! Tucked away above the main town, it provides a warm and cozy place to relax after a day of skiing or hiking. Highly recommended if you want that mountain feel while still being close to town and Cloudcroft Brewing Company, this is your place. Great opportunities to see the local mule deer herd in the Lincoln National Forest right outside the kitchen window! Perfect!

As every other review has states, this house is fantastic. The pictures do not do it justice. We were here for Christmas and planned on cooking a traditional Christmas dinner, with all the sides. The kitchen in this house had so much more than typical short-term rentals: a Ninja chopper, a drip coffee maker and a pod coffee maker, toaster, blender, a large selection of spices, dishes, pots, pans, etc. The only thing the kitchen lacked was mixing bowls, which was odd given how well the house is stocked. So if you like to cook while on vacation, this house is for you. Just be sure to pack a large mixing bowl. Otherwise, this house is fantastic and the property manager, Ian, we very responsive.

Nice location and neighborhood backed up against the Lincoln Forest. Make sure you arrive while it is still light. Addresses are very hard to see once the sun sets and we initially ended up at the wrong place. You can walk into town and down to the pub without much effort. Hoping we can go back after life settles down.

Ideal location for being close to town but with the forest in your backyard. Rooms were each comfortable and cabin was stocked full of useful things (kitchen stuff, games, everything!). Added bonus was the fenced yard which was great for our small dog to run out without requiring a full walk! We would stay again for sure.

The house was great and worked perfectly for our getaway. We watched the deer in the area every day and the best part was watching one play chase along the fence line with the dogs next door. Hilarious!! The house matched the listing and was clean and spacious. The fence in the backyard is only about 24in tall so if you have a bigger dog or a jumper it will not lock your dog in. We hope to be back next year.

The day we arrived, we saw 8-10 wild horses behind the house, in the national forest. We saw deer daily and 5-6 elk on our last morning. The house is beautiful. Could use a few cosmetic fixes, such as the guest bathroom rug and shower curtain liner. Part of why we chose the property was to take our dogs. That was great! However, the carpeted areas had lots of stains. We would not hesitate to come back. Overall, just a great house.

The front porch is so inviting with several choices of seating. The house is well stocked with anything you might need. Parking is easy and level. There are few steps. There is a very comfortable living area. The house backs to the national forest and lots of wildlife wonder through! It awesome!
