•We do not provide linens, sheets, and pillowcases. (Please do not sleep on our pillow shams that go with our coverlet/quilt bedding, they are for decor only and can be easily taken off to put your own pillowcases on if you don't bring your own pillow). We do not provide towels, toiletries, soaps, paper products and trash bags. There is a Dollar Tree store at the shopping strip a short walk from our home to pick up these items if needed.
• Due to insurance liability and the rules of our HOA we cannot lease to anyone under 25 years old. There must be someone at least 25 years old present in order to rent our home.
• There are NO PARTIES ALLOWED! We are in a quiet, tight-knit, residential community. Our neighbors will not hesitate to report any excessive noise to the Police and to us! Immediate eviction with **NO REFUND** will result if there is a party on the property.
• Please, no smoking in the house! If you need to smoke, do it outside and please properly dispose of your cigarette butts! Don't leave them littered about.
• Trash pickup is Monday and Thursday mornings, so we ask you roll the trash cans out to the curb Sunday and Wednesday nights (with wheels facing the house, lip facing the street). Then please bring them back up to the top of the parking pad by the house after pick up.
• If you're used to recycling, this may come as a shock to you, but there is no recycling in Ocean City! Just put everything in the trash. The city has a contract with a high-tech power generation company that uses it to generate electricity and extracts the metals from the waste byproduct.
• Ocean City's smallest residents, the ants and mice , are common in Ocean City. Our home is very inviting and we do occasionally have these uninvited guests! Their intrusions will be minimized if you keep the counters wiped and kitchen floor swept! The good news is we have a year-round contract with a pest control company to keep the home ant and mice-free, so if you do see any during your stay, give me a call or let me know in a private message and I will have the pest control company come out. We do not give refunds for the sighting of a mouse, mouse droppings or ants. Thank you!
• Please read the complete set of rules to ensure you will have a safe, fun, pleasant and comfortable stay at our home!
• You must sign an agreement 24hours prior to your check in date to use the movie screen and projector for your stay.
• We are easily accessible via text, email or phone any time except sleeping hours which are 9:30pm-8:00am.
• Our handyman, Mark, is close by to help with any problems if they arise.
• One of Ocean City's best-kept secrets is "Montego Bay Residential Community" where Madmen Beach House is located. It's quiet, yet close to bus transit, and the ocean is just a short 7 minute walk across Coastal Highway. Restaurants, shopping, and bars are all within walking distance. We love being a short drive or bus ride to the Ocean City boardwalk, yet far enough away to have some peace and quiet.
We're just a mile from the Delaware line, so it's an easy drive to the Delaware beaches: Dewey, Bethany and world-famous Rehoboth Beach, with plenty of quaint shops, restaurants and eateries, boardwalk, Funland amusement park and nearby outlet shopping, all sales-tax free!
• The neighborhood is family friendly with wide streets and sidewalks and room to ride bikes, roller blades, etc. There are two community pools, two tennis courts, miniature golf and even shuffleboard available for guests. There is a community bay-front boardwalk, a pond and nature preserve with a half-mile walking path around it. Ocean City's Northside Park is located adjacent to the community with ball parks, soccer fields, running paths, playgrounds and crabbing/fishing piers.
• Assateague Island State Park and National Seashore, where you can see the famous wild horses, is about an hour away and a really fun day trip!
• The closest grocery stores are Montego Bay Super Thrift, Food Lion and 인터네숀날푸드마겥. A CVS pharmacy is a few blocks away as well. The closest place to get coffee is the Fractured Prune, with delicious hot, fresh, "to-die-for" donuts, but it's carry-out only. Nearby (and even walkable) restaurants include The Crab Bag (best all-you-can-eat steamed crabs in OC), Duffy’s Tavern (great food in a fun, Irish pub setting with an outdoor Tiki bar), Grotto Pizza (our favorite!), and The Original Crabcake Factory (best crab cakes in the U.S.!), amongst many others.
• We're pleased to be located close to a variety of houses of worship, so you needn't miss the opportunity for a spiritual uplift while you're vacationing with us! Within walking distance is the Chabad Lubovich Center on Ocean Highway by 137th street; just a short drive down Ocean Highway you'll find Saint Peter Lutheran Church, Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, Saint Luke Catholic Church and Saint George Greek Orthodox Church. The south end of OC is home to Methodist, Baptist and non-denominational churches if any of those are your preference.
•Guests have full access to the home, deck, dock, 2 kayaks, and shed to store beach gear. Fishing is free at the home’s private dock - no license is required. (Towels, linens, pillow cases, paper products and toiletries not provided).
• Guest have full access of the parking pad for 2 cars maximum and an extra parking space in front of the house for a third vehicle.
• Guest have full access to Montego Bay Community pools, shuffleboard, mini-golf area (only open in high season), tennis/pickle ball courts, and fishing/crabbing pier.
• The home is just a short walk to the ocean, restaurants, and night life.
• Northside Park with playgrounds, jogging trails, crabbing, fishing pier, soccer fields, and baseball fields is less than a half mile walk away.
• 24-hour bus service one block away takes you to the famous Ocean City boardwalk as well as Bethany Beach, Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach, all in Delaware, and the popular Rehoboth Beach Outlet Malls. (See more info about public transportation in the "Getting Around" section below.)

Ocean City, Maryland has a fantastic bus system that runs up and down Ocean Highway all day and night from April 8 through September 22 for only $3 per day!!! Catch it at the corner of 130th street and get off and on as many times as you like. It will take you south to the Boardwalk in Ocean City and north to the 144th Street Transit Station, where you can transfer to the DART (Delaware Authority for Regional Transit) bus that runs all the way up to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and its nearby outlet malls. There are also taxis, Lyft and Uber, bikes, motor scooters, boats, jet skis, and even paddle boards that you can rent nearby.
Very clean and nice! Would go back again! Offers Kayaks and other great amenities.
The house is beautiful and it was very clean. It had plenty of kitchen supplies. There were six adults and we were in Ocean City for the Christmas Lights which was only a couple blocks away. No doubt it would be a great place for a family or group of adults in the summer months. Also, we love staying in North OC where you’re away from the larger crowds and close enough to plenty of great restaurants and activities. Daryl Myers
We had a relaxing getaway. The place was beautiful, cozy, clean, great view, & loved that it was dog friendly. The owner Rebecca was very nice a pleasure to talk too & checked in to see if you needed anything to make sure your stay was wonderful! We will definitely be back again!
Our family (5 adults and a dog) stay at the Mad Men beach house was great. The house is as advertised. No surprises. It was very clean and comfortable. The newly done bathrooms were very nice. None of us wanted to get out of the showers..lol. The house was well stocked with everything needed (e.g., plates, pots/pans, silverware). That said, you do need to bring your own sheets and towels and provide paper products, condiments, etc.. A starter set of paper products was provided, though. One of the highlights of the house is the covered deck! It was always shady and breezy. There is plenty of seating on the deck and there is a built in gate to close it in (helpful with dogs and kids). I could sit out and read in the middle of the day! And, the water view is wonderful. I will note that the crabbing was not good off of the dock. No fresh caught steamed crabs for us. But, it could have been a bad spell. And, there are great places to buy them. The location of the house is great. A very short walk to Northside Park, which is fabulous, as well as to the tennis courts, pool, a few restaurants, and a little grocery store. Most importantly, the communication from and with the owner during the whole process was top notch. Customer service goes a long way! For those of us with dogs, our choices are limited. I am so glad we found this house and appreciate that the owners embrace it (a wall of pics in the hall for all the dogs who have stayed at the house).
Rebecca and family are great people...
We really enjoyed our stay here! After many summers of staying on the boardwalk, we weren't sure how we would like staying this far uptown. The community was wonderful and the beach was an easy walk. The house was clean and had plenty of space and all that we needed. The bay views still gave us that beachy feel and added bonus that we could bring our pup! Very communicative host made everything seamless.
The owners really pay attention to details. From the old bay spice left on the counter to the clean and fresh decor ...they care . The description of the house online is very accurate in person . The little dock of the bay in the back was great to crab and boat . I liked the keyless entry system as I am known for losing keys . We would book again for sure . The kiddos were sad to leave . Overall a great beach cottage
Very nice place to getaway
Fabulous place !!! Highly recommend staying here !!
Rebecca's house was perfect. It's within walking distance to the ocean, and having the water in the backyard was a beautiful backdrop! Everything about the space was perfect, a very user Friendly House, comfortable and fun to stay at. We came during February, so although it was not warm beach weather, you still can totally enjoy the ocean, when nobody is there! Just know that a lot of places are not open year round. But what a relaxing week. Rebecca was very attentive and responsive to any questions or concerns that I had. What a wonderful host she is!
We had an amazing time at our winter getaway! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfortable! We loved the little touches like the guest book, Xmas tree, and dog wall! Although we ate all of our meals out the kitchen looked well stocked! We enjoyed playing games and being able to take our dogs along! The location is close to great restaurants, the beach, and entertainment! I would definitely go back in warmer weather to enjoy the deck, kayaks, and outdoor movies! Thank you for allowing our family to share your amazing piece of Ocean City!
I wanted a quiet retreat, away from the hustle and bustle and I couldn't have picked a more perfect place for our getaway! The bay views are serene and always in view! I loved the reflection of the water inside the house in the mornings! The house is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach and a short walk to the Festival of Lights at Northside Park, an annual tradition for us! The house has everything you need, the beds are really comfortable, the decor is perfection and the host is communicative and has really thought of everything to ensure the best stay. We will most definitely be back. Thank you Rebecca for such a memorable time!
First time using VRBO. The wife and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing place in OC. We found it at the Mad Men Beach House. We both really enjoyed the deck with views of the bay. The home is beautiful and everything was perfect - just like the photos on the VRBO listing. The host (Rebecca) communicated with us throughout the process and her local recommendations for activities and restaurants were spot on. Great location - we even squeezed in a day trip to Chincoteague Island.
I booked this place for a nice fall getaway with my family, friends and our pups, and it was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone, very dog friendly with grass and a great deck on the water! Also super walkable to restaurants and the beach! Also wanted to note, I didn't need to contact the owners for anything, but we messaged before the trip and Rebecca was very responsive! Definitely going to try book here again!
Fun escape
There were 5 adults that stayed plus 1 dog. The accuracy in the photos advertising this home is misleading. Using a wide angle lense distorts the actual size of the rooms. It is not as spacious as shown especially the room with the bunk beds. One adult had to sleep in there. No place for necessities, no dresser for clothes and one small little area to walk. She had to use the adjacent beds for places to put her belongings and the mattress is terrible. A double bed would have suited this room better instead of trying to accommodate too many people. You can't even get at the window to open it for air. The master bath is nice. Newly renovated. It's just difficult to step in and out of the tub. It is very high. Handicap bars would be useful here. The second bath needs updating. The toilet seat does not fit properly. The outside of the refrigerator has seen better days unless it just needs a good stainless cleaner. The washer and dryer are great. Very new. The coffee maker is great. We just had to Google the owners manual to figure out how to make a single cup. We did not use the projector. We did use the kayaks and had a great ride to Harpoon Hannah's. Overall, we had a nice week until Friday, when Hurricane Ian was moving up the coast but we were leaving Saturday anyway so we didn't care. We got 5 great days at the beach. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to share their home. Rebecca was very responsive with texting.
We had an amazing time at Mad Men Beach House! We loved having our own house. It was clean and the perfect size for 7 of us. We enjoyed hanging out on the back deck, kayaking, paddle boarding (we brought our own), and going to the beach. There are many places to eat. We enjoyed grabbing a quick bite and eating on the beach! Communication with Rebecca was great. We had a small issue that was resolved quickly. Overall, it was a nice break and so relaxing! Thanks for the great get away!
