With access to Mill Creek, a world class trout stream, just a few steps from the front deck, Mill Creek Retreat is ideal for folks looking for a quiet place to fish, relax, hike, hunt, cross country or downhill ski and visit local attractions, such as Yellowstone Park, just 45 minutes up HWY 89. The boundary of the Absaroka/ Beartooth Wilderness area is just up the road and Chico Hot Springs Resort with its famous hot pool and incredible dining is only 15 minutes away. The Pine Creek Lodge concert venue is 15 minutes down East River Road and Follow Yer Nose barbecue/Wildflower Bakery, voted best bbq in Montana, is also just a few minutes drive. The house, built in the 1950’s from local stone and timber, sleeps 6-10 people with additional cribs, car seats and a high chair for the little ones. There are three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fireplace, washer and dryer and a full kitchen (no dishwasher). Wi-fi service and a television make it possible to stream your favorite shows or catch up on your emails. The living room opens onto a deck with shaded seating that allows guests to relax and watch Mill Creek tumbling by. Children and pets are welcome, but please be aware that Mill Creek is a fast moving stream emptying into the Yellowstone River, and also that we are in an area of abundant wildlife, so it is very important to keep pets under control and a close eye on your children at all times. The property is a wonderful venue for weddings, family reunions and other gatherings, however, no parties or events may take place without permission from the hosts. There may be an extra charge for such gatherings. One of your hosts is a professional chef and may be available with advance notice to prepare meals for an additional fee. Additional guests will be charged at a rate of $25 per night. The fee for pets is also $25 per night. Minimum stay is 3 nights. We are looking forward to meeting you.

A special place with great hosts. For an authentic Paradise Valley experience this place can't be beat. Great fishing & chill vibes. We'll be back! Thanks Ned Dan and Sarah!

The house is spacious and has a lovely backyard and deck that is bordered by a small stream and feels private despite the other nearby houses. The house was clean and well stocked with any type of supply you might need. Sarah had baked and left us a large plate of brownies which was a nice touch and they were delicious! The location is perfect for access to forest lands and is a short drive to Livingston and Emigrant, Chico Hot Springs, and the north entrance to Yellowstone NP. Check-in and check-out were easy. We asked the owners about outdoor seating for the deck and they ordered and supplied camp chairs for part of the stay which was great, but a nice set of outdoor chairs and table would be a nice addition to the property and allow guests to enjoy the lovely space even more. It would have also been nice to have had more windows with screens in place to open when it warmed up outside. Lastly a few brighter lights in the rooms for evening times would help too. The creek out back was a bit too fast for fishing, but we found great access and spots in the nearby NF and along the Yellowstone. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and the property!

We are so thankful that we were able to have a little wedding reception at the property. The back yard is magical and it made our day so special. The hosts were very accommodating and great to communicate with. 10/10!

A perfect location for exploring, hiking, and fishing in the nearby wilderness right out the door. The property is lovely, and only minutes from groceries, restaurants, hot springs, and entertainment in Emigrant. The house is quiet, spacious, and very well appointed helpful

Great location for everything Paradise Valley has to offer. The hosts were friendly and the house was just beautiful. But for me, having Mill creek at my finger tips made it all worth it, the fishing behind the property was incredible. Hopefully we’ll be back as soon as possible!!!
