Bearfoot Lodge | Lakefront, Private Dock + Hot Tub

The house was great. The view and the amenities are great. Our kids really enjoyed everything. We plan on renting again in the future!

house was very clean and everything needed was provided. lakefront was beautiful. location was perfect. enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. BBQ grill was nice. check-in and out was very easy. would definitely recomend this place!

Nice location and view and access to the lake, but the exterior of the property was a mess. It looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned since last summer. The patio furniture was filthy. No covers, so we had to clean everything off in order to use it. Some were too dirty to even mess with. Shouldn’t have to spend an hour cleaning off furniture. The interior was nice. The master bath upstairs was in need of some repairs. The water pressure was very low, and it took several minutes for the hot water to flow. The toilet wolves and you have to hold the handle down until it flushes completely.

Location was great, house was nice and mostly clean, hot tub a great touch, but the driveway was a major problem. I specifically asked about the parking situation leading up to the stay and was given wrong information. When it snowed overnight and I couldn't get my AWD SUV up the drive, I called to request salt/plow. They said someone would be out, but no one came. The next morning when it was time to depart, one of our vehicles still couldn't get out. I called again and the rep was able to get someone to come an hour later and he salted by hand which took another 20 minutes. Incredibly frustrating overall.

The location was great for our skiing trip. The house was spacious and well stocked. The hot tub had an off smell to it, almost like a well water smell. The only other downfall was the house could have been cleaner. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling lights and a thick layer of dust all over the area above the mantle.

Loved the house, the décor, the location, even the bear statue greeting us at the front door. It is even nicer than the photos, in my opinion. Had a fabulous weekend. We went in mid November, and didn't realize the dock would be hauled away for the winter by that time. So that was a bit disappointing, but there is a rock beach (exposed due to low water level) so we could hang out near the water's edge. There were mechanical issues with the hot tub. The rental company came out once and fixed it, but the second issue happened late the evening before we left, so we didn't have use of it for that evening or the morning of check out.

Loved our visit to Deep Creek Lake! The house is beautiful, perfectly located, very relaxing with a great view of the lake. Would definitely stay here again!

The house is very nice--the best thing about it is the view of the lake. In warmer weather, the outdoor furnishings would be perfect. The kitchen is small but well equipped, and the living and dining areas are comfortable. The beds were ok but the mattresses were not as thick as I would have expected and tended to slide if you sat on the edge. The rent seemed high for this time of year, neither winter (for skiing) or summer for outdoor activities.

Beautiful home with fabulous amenities right on the water. The private dock was my favorite place to be. We rented a boat from the local marina. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit! The view and location couldn’t be beat! I hope to go back soon!
