Great property, very clean and well renovated. The neighborhood feels a little rundown, but located relatively close to popular activities.
We enjoyed our stay in this cute home within walking distance of downtown. Well stocked and clean.
We had a wonderful stay at this sweet home. Immaculate and comfortable. The owner left a personal note that made us feel so welcome. We will be back!!
Very clean house with plenty of room. The kids really enjoyed the little toys and games that were on the property and the backyard is quiet and private. Would stay here again!
This property is quiet and clean. As other reviews state, the surrounding properties need work but at no point did we feel unsafe. We had everything we needed.
Clean, updated home on a quiet street. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed coffee every morning and used the grill one evening. It was a great place to come back to rest and get ready for the next day. The house is located very close to wind cave national park and Evans Hot Springs. One of our favorite spots was Cascade Falls. My husband and I found the couch uncomfortable, it was too deep for us. So we took pillows from the bed when unwinding in front of the tv at night. My son actually slept on it and he had no complaints.
The house is beautiful and in a good location to explore surrounding areas. Loved everything and had a great time. Enjoyed Cascade falls!
Nice little house off the beaten path. We enjoyed our stay and the property fit our needs perfectly.
It was close to everything. Hosts were very responsive. Clean and had all the amenities that were listed. The waffles were incredible. Highly highly recommend it to any family that wants to experience Hot Springs.
What a surprise to find this place! I’d only planned on 3 nights and ended up staying 5. Very peaceful and quiet, kind and friendly neighbors. One reviewer mentioned spiders so I bought some spider traps…nothing. The place was spider free ? The home had everything I needed and more, I especially enjoyed watching the deer every morning and evening from the bedroom window. I’ll definitely stay again!
The house was a nice clean place to call our home base for our vacation. The ovation was a little tricky to find the first time, but then was an easy location to leave and return to to travel to the other nearby cities and activities that we enjoyed while in South Dakota.
House was clean, newly updated. Neighborhood was less than desirable. No driveway, street parking only. Had kind of a lot of spiders. Basement bathroom plumbing was very loud upstairs.
My friend and I stayed here as a base camp to the Black Hills. Easy access to lots of hiking, biking, parks, AND walking distance to Moccasin Hot Springs (which is a must-do on your trip.). We arrived in a snowstorm so we didn’t get to enjoy the back porch, which looks lovely though, and we hope to be back when the weather is nicer. The house is cute, we’ll-appointed, and we loved that it had 2 bathrooms too. Full kitchen and her adorable son makes and sells authentic Belgian waffles, samples of which were left for us as a treat (we bought a bunch more because they were delicious!). Great stay, great hosts and looking forward to staying here again!
This property was great. The space is utilized so well and everything was so clean. The sheets and bedding are luxurious. The owners are so nice and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Our son is still talking about the liege waffles you left us. Deer came to visit us in the backyard at night. We will definitely be back.
After staying in not so great motels this place was heavenly. Beautiful inside and out with great amenities in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the river and restaurants. The hosts left us a basket of homemade scones which worked great for breakfast!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Upon arrival there was a thank you card and basket with homemade cookies. It was the perfect location within walking distance from the Main Street, shops and restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We couldn’t figure out the Keurig coffee maker as it didn’t seem to be working. The house is remodeled and looks like the showrooms at IKEA. The plumbing is all tied together so the bathroom sink gurgles upstairs while the basement bathroom is being used, but there was nothing wrong with it. We just closed the bathroom door at night so we didn’t hear it. Overall great stay!
We had a great experience with this property. The owners have used the space very well. The location is amazing and worked perfectly for our vacation. We spent the majority of our time in SD outdoors and this house was close to several destinations (approx. 1 hour from Mount Rushmore, 1/2 hour from the south entrance to Custer State Park, 10-15 minutes from Wind Cave National Park, and 15 minutes from Angostura Reservoir). The town of Hot Springs was extremely quiet with several food options. If you are looking for a place to stay while you explore SD this is a perfect option.
Last vacation v tore our old st goes to college
The property was exactly as described. Upon arrival, we were very surprised to find fresh scones along with a sweet note from the owner. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything that we needed for meal prep. It was obvious that our hosts put a great deal of thought into making their guests comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
