Beachy Vibes + Tiki Bar Fun – Steps from the Sand!

Wonderful stay. The house was perfect.

All the obvious things were clean!: bedsheets, towels, livingroom, couches. There was a lingering smell of weed, but that didn't bother me too much.The host was really nice and helpful with all my questions leading up to the event! And the distance to the beach? Perfect! So close to an access point to the coast and not a far walk to an icecream parlor. Neighborhood felt safe, too. But the cleanliness problems actually came when we found a sweet potato fry still in the dirty oven, wet grounds in the coffee machine, and the grill was not only greasy but had molded potato wedges in it. There was sand all in the floor of the primary bedroom closet.And the glass jar keeping seashells from tenants stays in it was broken when we arrived with shards of glass on the countertop. With all the main places cleaned, these all felt like oversights, but there were a surprising number of them. The place is advertised as having a grill, but with nonfunctional grill vents (stuck shut), we got smoked out pretty quickly. Still, it did grill the food; we were rather stubborn about sticking to the game plan: grill. No grill tongs though, or a scrubber so we went and bought our own. Aside from personal soft/hard bed preferences, the only thing I can complain about then is the fact that the middle bedroom beds squeak to heck. We put three guys in there and any time one of them rolled over, the other two woke up. Overall, a really fun weekend! Fix the grill and clean a little better.
