Stayed Apr 2, 2019This is a lovely location and it is clear the owner is making modifications to try to improve the Bungalow- we found him reasonable to work with. The furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen stocked for most critical needs. The mattress was comfortable, it is a Tempurpedic mattress. However, it has no box spring and sits on a metal platform. Every time my husband or I rolled over, it squeaked, loudly. The grounds are super close to the beach so that was convenient--- but the bed/platform needs a better solution to earn more than 3 stars.

Stayed Feb 16, 2019Casey Key is a special place, with a beautiful beach that stretches forever and so little major development that you can be on the beach all alone. The shark-tooth hunting is amazing and there are great restaurants and parks nearby. This property has a great location on the key, with beautiful beachfront as well as access to the intercoastal. The grounds and buildings are tired, I swear I recognized the bathroom sink from 1955. There is not enough furniture - only one bedside table and no chair to put your clothes on in the bedroom and no decor at all. It was great to have our own living room and kitchen, and the kitchen was well equipped although the fridge rattled like an old tank and I have never seen rust inside a microwave before. The outdoor chairs were so flimsy I was afraid my husband's chair was going to collapse. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable, but I would really like to see some updating here, it is overdue!
