Great place and location!
I had a very relaxing stay here. Property is fairly well maintained and i had no issues with things breaking during my stay. Living room furniture and master bed were very comfortable. Wish there had been a screen for the sliding glass door in the master bedroom. The carport tends to flood during rains as it is the low point on the property.
We had an amazing time at this house for a long weekend with our dogs. It's a perfect location, right on the beach - where you can easily stroll down the boardwalk, or just enjoy the view from both decks. We could also easily walk to a convenience store for snacks and drinks (2 walkable in either direction), and a restaurant slash seafood market was also walkable (they have amazing shrimp so definitely check them out). It was so quiet and peaceful, and the house was the perfect place to relax. We will definitely be back!
Loved that it was very clean. Great beds. Awsome decks right on the beach. Thank you for providing beach towels and bathroom towel. I few more plastic wine glasses would be nice.
Condo could be updated (brought up to date) - but the nightly price reflects as such
If you want a non-commercialized vacation Cap San Blas is your place. There are a handful of restaurants on the peninsula and a general store. Port St. Joe is about a 20 minute drive if you want groceries and other restaurant options.
I planned this vacation a year in advance, booking with Vacasa for the first time. The house is beautiful, facing the beach, and has an amazing porch and upper deck. My family had plenty of room, and we spent a wonderful week relaxing and having fun. We would definitely book with Vacasa again.
This house was a perfect extended family vacation!! We had 10 people and this home accommodated our needs perfectly!! The tri-level gives the space some privacy for each area! It was perfect for multiple families to get some privacy while also being together as an entire family! Surprisingly, the rooms/floors were pretty sound proof. You couldn’t hear the others above you! The view was GORGEOUS!!!! We spent many hours at the beach or sitting on the porch just taking in the view! The beach was right behind the house with extremely easy access! The bottom floor outdoor shower was perfect to rinse off all the days fun before going inside! Any minor issues we had upon arriving, were resolved quickly with a simple text! Vacasa sent check in texts at the perfect times and were quick to respond to any of our needs with a simple fix! I would recommend this location!! You won’t want to leave!!
The property was easy to find, and when we got there the view was breath taking. The house was clean and very nice. Great location and the beach is right out your back door. Very pleased with our stay. Cape San Blas is beautiful
Perfect location on the beach near Scallop Cove Bait and Tackle, gas station and general store. Check in was easy with door code. The home was comfortable, spacious and clean- with the exception of bathroom which had some mildew in tub and shower curtain, we cleaned it with available cleaner and moved on, we did have an occasional bug crawling about. This home does have stairs with open treads so beware if you have children. The kitchen had pots, pans, baking sheets, coffee maker and kurig. A gas grill on the porch was lacking metal grilling utensils. Plenty of parking was available under house and in front of house. The deck was spacious and had a gate at top of stairs to keep pets and children off of stairs. Large glass doors spanned the kitchen and living room giving endless views of the beach. We would not hesitate to come back.
House was equipped well. Items that need attention. 1 During a wind/rainstorm water come in over the tops of the sliding doors all floors. 2 Problem with access door lock. Bolt was/is corroded from salt air exposure. I filed off most of the corrosion and improved function. 3. Some live and dead Roach issues. Shower curtain ring broken. Entry door stop broken and corroded ones. Ac unit should not be boxed. Sand in sofa creases. Beach access for me was tough at 90 years of age. Water hose has bad hole in it and handle doesn't work. There is a leak at the wall line on the outdoor shower. Deck gate is pathetic function wise. First to second level stair carpet had pet stains. We cleaned the stains. Light switch by the kitchen door entry to the bathroom did not work. I was satisfied with the overall condition but not particularly fond of the access procedures as they pertain to the non-smart phone population. The restrictive parking was an issue since I had relatives and friends that wanted to visit, not overnight.
The house is right on the beach and shared well maintained boardwalk with the neighbors. 5 min walk to the general store, and short drive to St. Joel’s Shrimp Co. and Long Bill Restaurant. However, we are not giving it a 4 or 5 star rating because we almost got locked out on arrival day. Both the door code and key box code were wrong. Vacasa was not able to give us the new codes until the next day when we called at 10:00am. Their excuse was that we arrived at 6:30pm and the local representative had already left the office. Luckily, we found an unlocked door and got in the house around 8:30pm. Otherwise, we would probably had to sleep in the car in 35 degree weather on Dec 27th.
Had some miscommunication at check-in due to receiving an old code to the property. Property management resolved the issue via text messaging within 25 minutes. The house is an older home so it has some issues and the outside gas grill needs some TLC or to be replaced. Nonetheless, those issues did not interfered with our family vacation. Beautiful view of the beach and gulf from multiple decks and we had some amazing sunsets. Overall our family vacation was memorable and we would definitely stay on Cape San Blas again in the future.
Still waiting on someone from “local team” to contact us regarding our many inconveniences during our stay. AC went out, no hot water for 4 days, fridge had to be replaced, no TV access in 2 rooms, and roaches. We were told the local team would be contacting us but starting to believe no such team exists.
Entry to the home was easy, and communication about arrival was clear and concise. The home was cozy and spacious, and the porch was wonderful for watching the beach on a blustery day. We will definitely be back. Bring your own coffee (they have a pot and filters) and spices/oil for anything you’d cook, but they have tons of pots and pans and baking dishes for use. Beds are comfy and plenty of linens and towels are provided.
The house was in a great location right on the ocean. House layout is nice. A few minor things need some attention but overall fine.
Wonderful house and wonderful location!!!
We love this place and have enjoyed the past few years for a family gathering. It is sad though that we can not rent this home any more because its a Sat to Sat. We are not able to rent on those days because of family travel. Friday as a start date is what works for us. Im so sorry the home has changed its rules. We will miss this house.
Love beach access. Beautiful kitchen remodel. Mattresses are not comfortable. Main floor shower head falls off and bathrooms need remodeled. Wish the upper deck had dry deck flooring so we could enjoy the second floor swing in the mornings, but you can’t with all the dew dripping down on your heads.
