We had a wonderful end of summer week. Georgia was very accomodating. The house is in the most wonderful location. Spent mornings drinking coffee and watching the sun come up over the beach and evenings sipping wine in the screened in back porch. We hope to return again next year!
We had a great family vacation. Perfect location, quite, loved sitting on the deck by the beach and listening to the waves.
Perfect location. Older cottage but clean. We were there during a rainy week and everything smelled musty. Could use some updates to justify cost. Old wall to wall carpet, uncomfortable chairs in house. Porch and beach were great!
PROCESS WAS EASY AND SMOOTH.
Like a Caribbean cottage right here in Maine! Nestled in the pines, sounds of the waves, beach is a 5 second walk! We loved the outdoor shower and waking to see sunrise right from your bed! The kitchen was well equipped. The screened porch was perfect! The cottage worked really well for our group of 4 adults, a 4yr old and an infant. We walked the beach, played in the little river to the north, and walked the trails of Ferry Beach state park. Georgia was super helpful when a storm blew the power, she had back-up lighting sent over so we wouldn’t be in the dark.
This beachfront cottage was exactly what we were looking for to have a quiet, relaxing vacation on the beach. It was stocked with everything you need to enjoy the beach and to cook meals at the house, and also had great recommendations for restaurants, ice cream, hikes, etc. We stayed there with our toddler and it was incredible to wake up and take morning walks on the beach, have lunch on the deck, dinner on the screened-in porch and then go to bed listening to the waves. The owner was so quick in responding to our questions and made it extremely easy for us. It was our first trip to Maine and we're excited to go back!
Proximity to the beach can not be beat. The owner responded to all of our questions within minutes.
We stayed a week at this lovely little cottage right on the beach of Saco Bay. The cottage itself is very nice, with a simple but well-equipped kitchen, a screened porch, and a deck a few feet from the beach. The outdoor shower and clotheslines make it easy to keep the sand outside. The beach is gorgeous. You can walk to Camp Ellis and Old Orchard Beach along the sand (though there is a small stream to cross on the way to OOB). We had a wonderful week and plan to return sometime! Things to be aware of: - There is a washer but no dryer, so laundry is a bit slower-paced than what most of us are used to. - The amount of seaweed on the beach varies from day to day. Most days it was just fine. On seaweedy days, it was worth walking five minutes down the beach to a cleaner spot. - Bugs come out at night, so sitting on the deck after dark is no fun (but the screened porch is great).
We absolutely loved this property and plan on returning. Beautiful beach right outside the back door- could not ask for better access.
This was a great property—classic Maine beach cottage. Not a modern property. We enjoyed sleeping with open windows. Box fans were provided. Great section of beach.
