My son, grandson, sister, niece, and husband, all enjoyed our Thanksgiving. Stay!! Well stocked kitchen!!!
Beautiful view and comfy beds. Loved it.
Beautiful ocean views and beach access. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend utilizing this house and the deck. The only complaint is when we went to use the vacuum in the closet to clean up some sand, we had to turn it off right away because a horrible smell was coming from it, like it had been used to vacuum up something nasty. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Made for a fantastic, relaxing weekend. Thank you!
We loved our stat
amazing location in a great part of pacific city, we loved the great views and the awesome deck - short walk to the beach
All seven of us really enjoyed this property! The location to downtown, Pelican Brewery and the sand dune was walkable and breathtaking! The weather was a little cool, but because of the gorgeous view from inside with all the windows, we were still able to enjoy the outdoors while being inside. Pacific City is quieter than Cannon Beach and less touristy, but still offered great food, great drink, and the people were very nice. Definitely a location that I would recommend if not interested in the touristy type vacation but still only an hour to Cannon Beach. All seven of us concluded that the house is perfect and we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful area to stay in.
We'll be back! Loved it all! Well furnished, well situated and the wrap around deck allowed for great outdoor time! Beautiful views and the beach goes on and on....
This is a great location for your getaway vacation, which is closed to everything especially to the beach by steps! The panorama ocean view from the balcony will make it worthy to stay. The house is pretty clean and roomy, fully stocked with needed supply. I recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay!
We had a great time and enjoyed the house and the view. My only regret is that I wish we could have stayed a bit longer. This was a great property in a fantastic location. My family (5 of us, 2 parents, 2 older teens & a 12 yr old) really enjoyed it. The beach & ocean are just right there over a small fun buffer dune. (The area heading to the beach might be steep for some.). If the weather is nasty you can enjoy the view from the kitchen and living room. The windows are are great for enjoying the amazing view. The house had a damp slight persistent smell to it and there is no bathroom fan upstairs, but those are the only negatives. Oh and there was no salt (there were two pepper shakers however) or foil or Saran wrap. So come prepared. But the house was clean other than some stains on carpets and window covers. It’s well kept and updated nicely. I was truly impressed at the cleanliness. (I’ve stayed at lots of places that I can’t say that about.) My best advice for the property owners: get a salt shaker. And a boot brush outside the door might be helpful in the future and a bristle mat. The sand was getting everywhere despite our best efforts.
Nice house but the kitchen was lacking in some of the basics like plastic wrap, tin foil, spices, salt and napkins. Other than that the kitchen was very well set up. The one other major improvement would be to put a sound bar on the living room tv. Sound is not good at all from the tv alone. Oh, and having kleenex in the bathrooms would be a nice addition. These are really just minor adjustments that would help make it perfect.
We loved our stay at Gull Cottage and are already planning a return visit. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Comfy beds, plenty of fresh linens, well furnished kitchen, and it's dog friendly! The wrap-around decks are great because you can always find a comfortable place to be regardless of the prevailing weather. Wonderful ocean views, yet it's private due to its elevation on the slight bluff. We were also delighted that it was spotlessly clean and the heat had been turned on for a warm winter arrival after our 11-hour drive. Pacific City is a new favorite location, especially McPhillips and nearby Neskowin beaches. Great place for the whole family to stay in a cute, low-key beach town on a gorgeous section of Oregon Coast.
The extremely well stocked kitchen and entertainment room, great layout, hot tub, and gorgeous views made for a great winter vacation for my family. We all enjoyed our time. It isn’t the easiest to ski in or ski out of but is still close enough to the lifts and hill. We ended up driving and dropping off and picking up skiers, especially the younger ones. The beautiful weather made for enjoyable walks to and from the hill.
Very clean house with a well stocked kitchen and a huge deck.
We just loved this house and the location ! Awesome deck, easy walk to the beach. The house was very clean and well stocked. Would definitely stay again!
Great location. Have to climb a sand hill to get to the beach directly from house so not great if someone in your group has mobility issues. Easier access is not far away. House smelled like cleaning chemicals but appeared very clean. One couch smelled a bit like animal urine but appeared brand new. Garbage disposal did not work, was backed up and a bit icky. We accidently left some toddler clothes in the dryer. The company and listing made it seem very easy to get it back, but this isn't true. We called within hours of leaving, likely while the housekeepers were still there! We called and called day after day and it was clear the property managers didn't care. We consider this akin to stealing so consider this if you want to give companies with this type of morals your money and watch your stuff!!
Had a good time, would stay here again!
Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the space. The living, dining, kitchen area is roomy, and the view is beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, some spices / olive oil. Beach access is great - though the climb up from the beach was a bit steep, but okay for our group. Bedrooms could use a little more airflow (perhaps some fans) as the rooms were a little stuffy with upper 60 degree weather. Also, it would be nice if the house had a hairdryer. Lastly, no instructions found in house, including trash day. We happened to be up when they came which was lucky since all three trashcans were completely full. With a weekly rental required over the summer, it seems they should let guests know when the trash needed to go out. Overall, very pleasant stay!
Gull Cottage met our desire to be on the dunes/beach and still be able to walk to town. The house functioned well, although some carpet desperately needs replacing.
Situated high enough to see and hear the ocean from the living room and deck, this roomy house was welcoming and comfortable, with fabulous views to the west and north of the Cape, dune, and Haystack Rock. There is direct access to the beach. To the east, the house overlooks the river and hills beyond, and is just a short walk to a state park. It has a wonderfully equipped kitchen and the local market in Pacific City has just about all you’ll need. Top notch experience for a quiet getaway.
