We had a great week! The house was perfect and consistent with pictures and description in the listing. Well equipped kitchen with lots of seating at the island. We got plenty of use and appreciated the outdoor shower. Easy walk to and from the beach. Becky was friendly and met with us at check in. Appreciate the personal touch, especially compared to the rental companies!

Wonderful experience for our first VRBO. Our check-in / check-out couldn't have been any easier. The house was clean and perfect size for our family. The host was super and made sure we had her cell number before we even arrived in case we needed something

This is our second summer in this house. Steps to the beach, great layout in the house. My daughter and her family had their wing while my husband and I had ours. Big surprise this year was the new kitchen and island — everything was perfect. Becky and Shirley are the best hosts! Highly recommend.

This was the third year our family stayed at Shirl's Shores. Communication is excellent. The house floor plan is great: open living room/kitchen/eat in island. Two bedrooms and a bathroom are on one side of the house and another two bedrooms and a bathroom on the other side. The kitchen has been recently updated with new cabinets and countertops - so pretty. It's a short stroll to the beach. The neighborhood is family/pet friendly. Restaurants and shopping is about 10 - 15 minutes away. The town of Duck is a little farther away but worth the trip to find all of the shops and bookstores. I recommend Shirl's Shores for a family friendly vacation.

This is our 2nd year staying at Shirl's Shores. 4 adults and our dogs were comfortable and pleased with the house. The owners understand the meaning of family time. Highly recommend Shirl's Shores.

Located in South Nags Head a short drive to the main strip. The house layout was great with bedrooms and bath on each side separated by the living area. A short walk to the beach it was the perfect location. Unfortunately the weather was not our friend but I recommend this beach house for a Nags Head getaway.

I booked the stay to celebrate my 50th birthday with my 3 kids (20, 18, 15) & my son’s girlfriend (also 18). We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect and convenient for relaxing, shopping, site seeing, and being on the beach. The house was cozy, stocked with kitchen equipment, and the washer and dryer were in perfect condition.

Well appointed, kitchen exceeded expectations, steps to beach, one porch always in shade! Owners were attentive, helpful and very kind! Staying here provided a worry free vacation week! We are grateful!

I cannot say enough nice things about our stay at this home. The location is great! It was such an easy walk to the beach down a quiet little street, just 4 houses from the beach. The beach was not busy when we visited during prime season. We were also close enough to the protected seashore areas that we could explore away from all of the more crowded areas. Becky (the owner's daughter) was incredibly nice and very willing to help when we had a minor issue. The house was clean and well laid out. The outdoor shower was clean and so nice to have. Our party was all family (3 couples and a child under 5) and we had plenty of room for everyone to hangout and even eat at the same table. Thank you Becky (and Shirley) for a wonderful week! We are excited to come back in years to come.

The location of this house was perfect. It is a very short walk to the beach that is not crowded. The house was a nice size for my family and parents. We would stay here again. Had everything we needed.

This was our first time in OBX and it did not disappoint. We loved the house, it was in a great location in nags head. The owners were easy to work with. I would highly recommend this stay.

We stayed in the cottage for a week and it could not have been more perfect for us . The location is extremely convenient , away from all the hustle & bustle but just close enough if you needed to go anywhere for anything . Walking distance to the ocean which was great ! This place is beautiful and the neighborhood is clean and friendly ! These are some of the best hosts I’ve ever had ! Thank you for sharing your place with us ! We had an amazing time !
