Stayed Jan 12, 2025Beautiful, classy, clean ranch home with 3 bedrooms & 2 baths, & outdoor shower which was fun & comfortable for my adult children & grandchildren. Very well stocked kitchen equipped with all the appliances you'd have at home. A real coffee pot not a Keurig which we loved having. BBQ & covered patio with large table to enjoy meals outdoors. Plenty of beach toys, chairs, wagon & umbrella. Was able to visit Hanauma Bay but be aware you now need to reserve entry 2 days in advance and spots fill up fast. If you have over 5 adults, you'll need 2 to email logins & be ready to Refresh promptly at 7am. Waimea Falls Toa Luau was an exceptional value because the price includes entry to hike to the falls & you can use receipt to go 7 days prior to your luau or 7days after if you can't go the day of the luau. The coconut husking/climbing, poi ball & weaving lessons, dancing & fire show, food & free drinks were good, too! Felt safe & at home in this Wonderful Serene Paradise. Property manager Karin was always full of the sweet Hawaiian friendly spirit, a perfect hostess & a wonderful blessing! Thank you again for making this a precious memory & starting our New Year off right.

Stayed Oct 4, 2023Although we didn’t stay in the house that was listed, the house we did stay in was very nice. Large living area, great kitchen space, beautiful deck all around the house. Separate office space that worked well when I had to take a Zoom meeting. Owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. It was a great stay.

Stayed Feb 16, 2020This property is VERY close to the beach, and close enough to Honolulu for activities without being in the thick of the high-density areas. The house is roomy and convenient. The host has beach towels and snorkeling gear available with roomy bedrooms.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our group included three couples who all had a wonderful time during our stay. The property’s best feature is the short walk to the beach access. With a rental car, we were able to sightsee all around the island with ease. Shima’s grocery store is close and has everything you may need. We appreciate our host’s availability to answer questions. We also noticed the small welcoming touches as she provided us with enough beach chairs and towels for everyone in our party. Overall, the central location of this space along with the nearby beach access created a great place for our vacation. We are already missing Hawaii! Mahalo for everything!

Stayed Dec 25, 2019Everything was terrific. Kalama was a welcoming and gracious host. Waimanalo is on the quiet side of the island, yet a short drive to anything we wanted. Be prepared to stay up late on New Year's Eve in Waimanalo - backyard fireworks displays started at dusk and continue foe the next 7 hours.

Stayed Jun 21, 2019We were a group of 5 adults staying at this fabulous home. Host Karin was super friendly and helped us with any questions we had about the area. The house is very spacious with super comfy beds, great lounge area, fabulous kitchen, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a large deck out the back with a stunning view to the mountains. There were jigsaw puzzles and games, plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. The beach access is literally at the end of the quiet street and this part of the beach is really pretty and the most magic spot to relax for the day. We strolled down two streets to Ono Steak and Shrimp for dinner one night which had great meals for all of us and you can BYO if you wish. We drove up to Kailua the first day which has a beautiful beach and stopped in at the Foodland on way home to get groceries. Not too badly priced if you sign up for the voucher card and look out for the yellow sticker discounts. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay in this fabulous location. Mahalo!

Stayed Mar 31, 2019Unfortunately, we were disappointed by our stay here. Our hosts were very polite and thoughtful (and their dog is very friendly too). The beach down the street was amazing and the highlight of our kids' trip. However, the property itself didn't meet expectations. The house was clean, but it is older, it feels a bit dated, and just couldn't compare with the two other properties we stayed at during our vacation on Oahu. We stayed with 2 adults, 3 kids and had plenty of space. Overall, we just didn't see the value for the final price we paid. I can't say I'd stay here again, but we'll definitely be back to the area.

Stayed Mar 16, 2019To have access to such a great beach literally a short walk down the street was amazing! And beach accessories, snorkel gear, and boogie boards also available for our use! The outdoor shower to hose off the sand was also great to have. Close to Kailua town for groceries and restaurants, but a great mix plate place around the block too! The home also had everything we needed, with plenty of towels, and owner was available, but gave us plenty of space. Only things to note is that the washer/dryer is shared with owners (she said they are working on separating that), but it wasn’t a huge problem, and on the last day of our stay the Portuguese Man of War jellyfish were starting to show up in the water and on shore. Apparently this is a regular thing that happens with the tides/moon cycle, so it can be avoided. Mahalo!

Stayed Feb 22, 2019We capped our stay in Hawaii at this property after 5 nights in Maui at a hotel. I must say we weren't really lacking in service and amenities by switching to a home rental on Oahu. Karin was very accommodating and welcoming including promptly adding a sliding lock to the main door to keep my toddler from letting himself out. Everything was clean and comfortable and convenient. Kids and adults took advantage of the included beach toys, chairs and other amenities. Thank you for a memorable stay!
