Beach Modern Victorian Retreat in Sunny Gulfport!

We could of use more towels. Kitchen was missing a strainer for our potato salad. Not enough plugins(to charge cell phones).Rooms were clean and comfortable. Very spacious for our family.Had a few question for Host once we arrived and his response was very quickly.Location was easy to get to the Harbor Lights by walking.The guys enjoyed the bar that wasn't far from the house.

Photos do not fully represent accommodations. Recommend the front door be checked due to delays in opening. Change out linen and add new towels, etc. Light not working in one of the bed rooms. Kitchen facilities were fine. We ate out or just ordered out the whole time. Host were very nice.

This property accommodated a large family of 9 for our family reunion. I’m not sure if the home is historic property but this is the mind frame you get when visiting the property. Nice 9 & 10 foot ceilings with vintage pine and oak hardwood floors throughout. It saddens me to have to rate and write a poor review but I must be honest and want to prevent another family from going through what we went through. The property is not well maintained; there’s so many things wrong I’d run out of characters to give details. Upon entering the home, I immediately smelled mold. A lack of weather stripping on exterior doors allows bugs & insects to easily enter the home. Lower level bedroom door would not close so we had to wedge a chair under the knob inside to keep the door closed. Ants were all over the kitchen wall and counters. 9 cockroach sightings in the upstairs hallway and bedrooms and 1 in the refridgerator. Unfortunately, we had to stay in the home. It’s hard to find a place to accommodate nine people at the last minute plus we had put all of our money into booking this home. The host was very quick to respond to my concern and did give me a one-day refund. I was hoping to receive more than 1 day for such an inconvenience and health hazards.

It was good. It would be nice if there was fans in every room the home was very hot

Great property for our large family gathering. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. The kitchen had everything that we needed. Everyone said their beds slept well. Great location and easy access to restaurants and stores.

We had 5 our family together for Mom's 85th birthday. The large house had plenty of sleeping space and living area to accomodate all of our family activities. The outside patio was perfect for our birthday celebration. Woulhighlyreccomend

Overall, everything was nice. The house is old but the cleaniness of it was appreciated. The updates to it were very nice. It was very accomadating for the amount of people we had. Our host was very helpful and responsive. We had a little hiccup in getting in the door initially. But we finally got it figured out. Not too bad of a drive to the different outings we had planned. I do kind of wish we were further down in the Biloxi area because more people were in that area on the beach. The only thing bad i would say is there was a dirty towel in the kitchen drawer that had a dead roach in it. I am not sure if previous guests put the towel back in there and it was overlooked by the cleaning service or what. And also one of my pillows on bed looked like a dog slept on it. It was a decorative pillow, so it's not like i had to sleep on it. I just hope going forth, housekeeping is a little more attentive.

This was our first visit to Gulfport and the house we stayed in was amazing ! Conveniently located to the beach , casino and the store! The house was very accommodating, with 7 adults and 9 kids we never felt crowded or on top of each other. We will definitely book here again!
