Stayed Jul 31, 2025The house and its layout was pretty nice and accommodated our family well.The location was within 3/4 of a mile to the ocean and we could ride our bikes there.The property manager/owner tried to be accommodating but fell short on a few things.I guess we’re spoiled with other properties that we’ve rented but usually you get a welcome email about house rules, key codes or entry access and WiFi but we had to ask for all of those things.The sprinklers came on every morning twice (6am and 9am) and flooded both the front and backyard and kept us from enjoying the outside of the property.One of the main issues we had was there were way too many cameras (we counted at least 7) around the outside eaves of the house.We wondered if there was some issues with the neighborhood or maybe past renters but regardless it made us feel very uncomfortable.

Stayed Jul 13, 2022We had an amazing family weekend and this home was such a big part of it. Everything was exactly as advertised. John is a responsive and great host. I had seen prior to our visit that a previous guest had posted there was no air conditioning. You don’t need it. I lived by the beach for 5 years and the vast majority of homes do not have AC. The ocean breeze is natures AC We enjoyed our experience so much I rebooked in two weeks from now with Family Get Away Part Two! Thank you John!

Stayed Jul 31, 2021The 4 of us stayed at this property for 6 nights. It was a great location that was convenient to everything in Huntington Beach. The house was well appointed. The only downside, which i did not realize, is that the house had no air conditioning. There were a couple days that were pretty warm so the house was warm at night, even with the fans and windows open. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay.
