Stayed Jun 16, 2024This is a wonderful home, right on the beach. Very private access to the ocean and virtually no people but us. It is a distance from activities and the north shore but we preferred this. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was a plus. This home had everything you could need. If you're debating, stay here. You'll love your time.

Stayed Feb 27, 2024We had our first family trip, along with grandparents to oahu. We wanted to stay at a home that was private and right on the beach. This property was exactly what we were looking for you. You walk out the back gate and you are right on the sand; granted There are tide pools there, so it's not a swimable beach, but still the sound of the ocean the waves crashung, watching the sea turtles every night, seeing whales was absolutely priceless. The house is beautifully Set up with plenty of room for all. They have everything you can think of between coffee makers to kitchenware to snorkeling gear. Boogie boards very well prepped. The one thing that took us a little off guard was how far on the West side of the island it is; so really you're about 40 minutes to an hour drive from any other part of the island which as long as you accommodate for is fine, but you will be spending a lot of time-traveling seeing the beautiful sights of hawaii.

Stayed Nov 15, 2023Property was as advertised and far enough away from the hustle and bustle that you can truly relax and enjoy time away. For those who are more of the hustle and bustle type Honolulu is only about a 40 minute drive with all the bells and whistles.

Stayed Nov 1, 2023The home was nice, but not as nice as the pictures indicate. It is very far from clean, well stocked grocery stores and there were no nice restaurants in the area - they were at least 15 miles away.

Stayed Mar 12, 2023Well where do I start. The views were beautiful. The ocean views were spectacular. We couldn't believe all the wild life we saw in the ocean right behind the house. The trip was a ten out of ten.

Stayed Dec 20, 2022We enjoyed our stay. Lots of room for 3 adult sized children. Big, open well-stocked kitchen, beautiful views from the backyard of the ocean. Although not on a swimmable beach, there was one within walking distance. Lots of extra towels & linens. Need a vehicle to get to grocery store/restaurants.

Stayed Jul 16, 2022The house was great. My family really enjoyed our vacation! The views were classic Hawaii textbook pictures - gorgeous. The parking was limited. Only one large vehicle fit in the driveway, and the other had to be parked on the street. I’m not sure if it’s just the time of year we visited but the house was only partially air conditioned, and it could get uncomfortable some days while cooking lunch/dinner. It’s a bit far to most activities.

Stayed Mar 18, 2022A lovely house in a beautiful location; what a treat to watch turtles feed in the surf crashing on the lava rocks in front of the house. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars in accuracy of online listing is due to the fact that the house isn't directly on the beach, but on the beautiful but jagged and difficult to navigate rocks just beyond the north end of the beach. If you're carrying anything more than a towel around your neck, it's easier, safer, faster, and less wet to walk down the street a few minutes and access the beach from the road. Beaches change all the time, and this one was a bit steep below the high tide line when we were there, but although the surf looked big, we found the waves crumbled instead of crashed, which made for fun body surfing. And of course, the turtles were swimming along with us! There were also a couple of hikes with great views within a few minute's drive of the house. The drive to Ko’olina was a pretty consistent 25 minutes (except on the last day on the drive to the airport when we got behind an accident near the electric plant, and then it took a full hour). So just plan accordingly, leaving plenty of time for unknowns. The house itself was very clean, the king beds extremely comfortable, and the grill worked great, with two extra propane tanks provided. The back yard opening onto the rocks was a beautiful place to play paddle ball or throw a football, and my son loved the cat that hung around the entire time but never tried to come inside. The neighborhood was quiet (except on Saturday night!) and the neighbors quiet. The smell of marijuana wafted through the neighborhood on and off day and night, but wasn't bothersome--I felt like I'd been plopped down in a Peter Mayle novel set in Hawaii instead of rural France--this is NOT a touristy place, at least it wasn't in the spring of 2022, with all the reality that that brings with it: quiet, a nearly empty beach, and lower grocery prices than on Maui, but also tent communities (not on Princess Beach though) and at least one pedestrian sighted each time we drove through town who appeared homeless and was walking erratically along the roadside--I've since read there's a meth problem around here--which is sad, but it only directly affected us in that we drove even more carefully than usual. Don't plan on swimsuit shopping north of Ko’olina, although the local dive shop at the marina was super helpful with snorkel gear rental!

Stayed Mar 3, 2022We were looking for a nice place close to the beach for our family to stay at during our daughter's wedding and our vacation. The house was absolutely beautiful. It had everything that we needed for our 2 week stay. The only thing we had to add was groceries. The house is on the beach with the ocean right in your backyard. The only drawback was the rocky access to the beach directly behind the house. Luckily, we found the public access a few houses over and the beach was pretty much private. The weather was absolutely generous and access to other posts of the island was very easy. The only drawback was the rush hour traffic getting back to this side of town. It just meant you had to plan accordingly.
