Beach Cottage 1 Mile From Weekapaug & Misquamicut

Property worked great for what we needed, close enough to where we needed to be.

This place met all our needs.

Once settled, we enjoyed this house. As others remarked the stairs were very steep. The entry through the front is long and half blocked by a tree so my parents ended up staying in a hotel. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed relaxing when there.

The beds were comfortable, sofas were not. The oven didn’t work right and one of the entry doors had problems with the lock. Extremely hard to find patio light switch. One of the guest towels had stains and table runner in living room had holes in it. The inside staircase was very steep and narrow with small steps. On the upside, very close to golf courses and beach.

Overall it was a good stay. Location was great. The steps are very steep! And it wasn’t super clean… cobwebs, dirty floor

I only have one negative remark. It was the cleanliness. I don't believe the house was cleaned very well at all. Very Sandy dirty floors webs other than that. It was a absolutely wonderful week. Wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay on your property.

Very responsive property owners

Nice property in a good location. We enjoyed our long walks each morning and having our dog with us. There are a few areas that would enhance the guest experience. The downstairs door has a very complicated lock which was frustrating. I would have preferred better towels and the cleaning service should pay more attention to swiping/vacuuming the floors before new guests arrive.

Great location. Good response time from landlord after making a request for new comforters for two beds. Outside patio was lovely.Concerns: The biggest problem were the narrow, steep steps up to the main living area. It proved to be very difficult for the majority of us who are in their 70’s. It should be noted in the listing for those who may be disabled or elderly.The oven didn’t work. Overall, the rental needs some upgrades, especially the living room furniture. Floors were not clean either.

Good location, had lots of fun with a group of friends, beautiful neighborhood. Overall just a great stay.

Overall it was a pleasant experience however, we were traveling with a crawling infant, and my sons feet were black not even 5 minutes after crawling on the floor. We were also traveling with an elder and the stairs going upstairs are extremely steep and dangerous which was not accommodating. The couches were dirty, worn down, and need to be replaced or at least be covered with clean protectors. After we stripped the beds at the end of our stay, the pillows were stained and dirty. It would be nice if they were replaced with clean pillows and protected by waterproof covers. The beach was only 5 minutes down the road which was very convenient! We enjoyed our stay but the house needs more TLC.

Location was great, near the beach and highway. We stayed the weekend and went to Mystic Aquarium. There are 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs with the kitchen and living room and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs. The stairs are very steep and were hard for my in-laws to navigate. There are weren't any paper towels or napkins supplied so be sure to pack those. Hosts were reachable through VRBO.

Cute house in a great location by the beach!

The home was welcoming on the outside. Not so much on the inside. The furniture is very outdated, I didn’t allow my family to sit on the sofas since they were very gross looking. The unit says pet friendly and it sure is, so much dog hair in the house. If your allergic do not stay here. No one in my family is allergic to dogs but due to the dander we were all taking antihistamines 6 hours in to our stay.i wouldn’t stay there again for that reason.

Needs to be updated and better taken care of house showed it’s age

We only stayed one night to attend a family party so were at the property very little. It fit the needs we had. We originally needed 10 people and a dog but no dog and 6 people were all that ended up staying last minute. There were (and still are) dishes in the dishwasher. No idea if they were clean or not. Floors weren't clean, my kids socks had dog and human hair on them minutes after getting there. Have to wash and dry any towels used before you go, which was odd and also an inconvenience since we couldn't use hand towels any more. Stairs to upstairs are VERY steep but fine for us. Overall fine, very expensive after fees especially for off summer season since its near the coast but we had little other choices in the area to accommodate what we originally planned . Hosts graciously let us check in early since no one was checking out that day and very responsive. Overall spacious house and property and 2 full bathrooms were nice. House and furniture a little dated or worn but comfortable.

This house in Westerly was a nice base camp for our family's first ever visit to New England. It is very close to the beaches, Watch Hill, Mystic, grocery store, and Walmart. Newport is a short drive. Our hosts were great at communicating with us and very accommodating to our needs. Although we didn't spend much time at the property, we enjoyed the amenities while we were there.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We were so happy to bring our four legged buddy with us. We all had a marvelous time at a great rate. Charming neighborhood in great location. Hope to return!

As described. But discovered the cleaner’s laundry from the previous guests in the dryer upon arrival. All good otherwise. Ocean is about a mile, and is worth it. Thanks!

The house had a lot of cob webs throughout it. The upstairs shower had mold. The beds were mad with only 1 sheet instead of 2. The house needs some updating and a good cleaning. Otherwise it was a great location and the owner responded in a timely manner.
