We wanted someplace with privacy, semi-quiet, kitchen and beach access. This place, which is an older property, met those requirements. First, the staff was great. Cheryl (manager) was extremely responsive. Bre' (guest services) was quick and knowledgeable, responding to anything from linen services to maintenance issues. The unit was located far enough from the public beach to have reduced traffic, but only a 10 min. shore-walk from our private beach to the public beach. The very pleasant rear screened-in porch overlooking the intracoastal waterway watching pelicans and the boat launch, was where we ate and spent most downtime if not cooking or sleeping. There were disappointments. The porch had not been cleaned and we swept out sand, pet hair and a cigar butt. Only two of the windows (neither door) were operable with screens, so we had to rely on the A/C even though the weather was mild. As an engaged cook, the kitchen was not fully stocked as advertised although the stovetop/oven, fridge and microwave were new, there was a dearth of eating and cooking utensils, and cookware, i.e. one 8 frying pan. These were mostly minor inconveniences and overall we we comfortable and pleased with our stay.

Our stay at Casey Key was wonderful! So relaxing and only a few short steps to the beach, and right on the bay. The staff was kind and helpful. We will certainly be returning!

The best part of this property is the courtyard, gazebo and the private beach. When we arrived the unit we were in was not what we expected. It was not on the gulf side and it was old and tired. All the units need updating. When we saw the courtyard and the view and the beach, we requested a move for the remainder of our stay. The manager was very accommodating. The second unit was better but still needed updating, especially the bathroom. Overall, it is a beautiful location.

This property was great for a weekend getaway for my wife and I. We are Florida locals, so we tend to be more critical of where we stay…and although this property isn’t the fanciest, it most definitely checked all the boxes otherwise. The beach is just across the street and has an amazing outdoor tiki hut that’s perfect for chilling out….and the water itself was spectacularly clear during our visit. We saw tons of wildlife that came literally right up next to us in the surf (Manatees, large schools of fish, and even Lemon Sharks - keep your distance from them!) The unit itself was ideal for what we needed and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfy the bed was. The units also back up to the inter coastal so you can rent a boat slip or even go fishing off the back sea wall. The boat ramp is literally right across the canal and the inlet to open water is right around the corner….so it’s overall a very ideal spot if you have a boat to bring. I would definitely consider staying here again

Location was great, had everything you need. Could have some command hooks on the back of door for towels. All was very nice. Everyone was easy to work with.
