Fort Myers, Florida
Bay of Grace is a totally remodeled high-end home directly on the Caloosahatchee River. It is in a protected bay away from the river waves and boat traffic with extensive docks for boats and other watercraft. It has a pool for every age: a wading pool for the little ones, a hot tub for the adults, and a large infinity pool for everyone. Bay of Grace is a three-bedroom, two-bath home with an open concept living area, kitchen, and dining room. The master suite is a large private room with its own sliding glass door to the patio and pool. There is a king bed, double leather futon, and single mattress (in the closet). The Master Bath has his and her closets, vanity and large shower with two shower heads. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen beds and a shared bathroom. Take in a stunning sunset, cast your fishing rods (2 provided), paddle the bay on a kayak or paddle board (provided) or soak away your cares in the heated pool and hot tub. A high-end place on the river to spend time whether it is a vacation, long term stay, or just a quick weekend away. It is a experience you and your family will never forget. NOTE: If you need a same day check in - ask us - VRBO will say it is not possible, but if the house is ready we can accommodate you.
Came with kids for a anniversary trip. Beautiful house and setting was great.
Mike and Karen were very attentive! House and pool were perfect. Booked here after we had to cancel our ocean front condo due to Ian. Would definitely recommend!
When you first walk in the house you will not remember how you got outside, the views are so captivating. The photos catch some of the beauty but not all. This is a home for rest and relaxation. Some of the features of the space I could not get enough of. The pool is so beautifully designed with wonderful running water features and spacious jacuzzi you will live in it. The morning sky, the beautiful sunset is one of the best I have seen. Being there in mid summer we welcomed some afternoon showers that cooled things off and were also perfect. The house has wide spacious rooms and of course an amazing view from majority of house. Huge master bedroom with sliding doors to the patio, second bedroom also slides to the patio and has the best view, third bedroom was my daughter’s choice with less light so she could sleep in. The house is fully stocked with everything you need. The kayak and the paddle-board are in an easy to maneuver lift which gets you in and out of water easily, a serious plus. Bike ride around neighborhood is a must. The stay was trouble free everything worked perfectly sent a brief text to the host and he was very accommodating with recommendations. Buckingham farms has a wonderful atmosphere and great place to eat breakfast. Loved our short week stay definitely needed a few more days. The pool and views are memorable and will stay with you long after your leave. Excellent choice.
The view is magical! The house is beautiful and outside area is amazing, Peaceful, relaxing oasis and we will definitely be back.
Beautiful home, just as pictured. Great communication with owner. Very attentive. Everything is wonderful about the house.
Perfect experience beginning to end ‘
Enjoyed the place. Mike the owner was helpful and made himself available if needed.
This property is located in the Wild West (aka not a planned community, no sidewalks, lack of suitable walking trails and park amenities nearby, lack of quality restaurants and a neighbor who actually has an embroidered sign that says F&$& off in her driveway. Two million dollar houses mix with 250K houses. Target is about 8 miles away.) Anyway, you get the picture. However, when you get past all of that and open the door, prepare to be absolutely stunned. The views are superbly AMAZING. This property is updated, comfortable, and well-stocked. I always buy my own things prior to checking in but they had everything including shampoo, detergent, etc. and two washers and dryers which I loved. Although not close to many fun restaurants, there is a Publix and Winn Dixie right on the corner. The pool is silky warm and so long that you can do laps in it. There’s a kids’ pool and nice hot tub. There are cameras though, so doubtful you should skinny dip. I did not like the feeling of being watched, however, I have a pool at home and have cameras so I got it and forgot about it. The master has two shower heads, although I prefer a nice bathtub. The second bath does have an okay bathtub. The owner is extremely responsive and addresses every question or concern immediately. The living room has a great area to work out in if you do home workouts and I was able to eek out a 3 mile run outside. There are also reserves about 4 miles away. My suggestions for the owner: Get windows and tracts cleaned. Get curtains for the wall of windows to add a feeling of security at night. Get a better lock on the front door or add one, as it seems flimsy. Redo the master bathroom and put in a bathtub or upgrade the bathtub in hall bath. You’ll like it here. It’s extremely private. There are two bedrooms that have the great views. The people next door have dogs but they’re immediately put inside if they bark. I did hear something that sounded like booming one day I was at the pool but maybe it was workers doing something or is hunting birds allowed around there?!?! Never figured out what the noise was. I’ve stayed at many Four Seasons hotels and the view and comfort level of this property match or beat them. I promise: the view is magical, private and it will make you extremely happy inside. Although the price is higher than most rentals, I recommend this property because of the insane view. It’s really all about the view.
The setting of this property is fantastic. Mike and Karen are responsive and caring hosts. Our stay was all we could have hoped for.
This vrbo is situated in a great location on the Caloosahatchee River. The surrounding area in the back yard was beautiful - great sunsets, lots of beautiful birds, very peaceful. The pool & hot tub were great, very well maintained and landscaped. The house itself is quite large, plenty of space for at least 2 couples. The communication with the owner was great, he was very helpful. While there was a lot to enjoy about this property, a little of the execution on our stay was lacking. The outdoor furniture was totally dirty, a combination of both literal dirt as well as stains. It was so dirty the furniture was actually unusable. We laid towels down over the furniture in order to feel comfortable using it. There were only 2 rolls of toilet paper in the entire house for our stay which is not something I would expect to have to deal with. The owner was incredibly nice and showed us all around the property upon arrival. While I appreciate the sentiment, during COVID and really in general we should not need a 20 min walkthrough of the property by the owner. Everything should be clearly laid out in the welcome book and/or self-explanatory. We shared our concerns about the cleanliness with the owner and he genuinely cared and seemed to want to remedy the situation immediately. All great, but for the price being charged I would expect these things to be table stakes. We hope the owner does in fact make these small upgrades it would make the price much more palatable.
