Pacific City, Oregon
Barefoot Bungalow
This beautifully appointed home has bamboo floors, inviting spaces and a wide back deck steps from a walking trail to the beach in Pacific City. Sequestered in sand, shore pines and beach grass, this custom home has a stacked-rock gas fireplace for cozy nights on the quality leather furniture in the living room under a vaulted ceiling. That fireplace is two-sided for a fireside feast in the dining room. A pretty, sunlit kitchen has a gas range and a breakfast bar that will attract conversation and glasses of wine. If you have office work to wrap up, a desk nook is the perfect spot to perch on the periphery while you finish. You’ll want the lovely primary suite with its walk-in shower and heated tile floors for yourself, but a queen bedroom lets you invite friends or family to join you in a relaxing stay.
It’s a wonderful walk over a dune on a sturdy boardwalk for breathtaking views of iconic Haystack Rock. Walk north from Barefoot Bungalow for craft brews at the Pelican Pub, fancy dining at Meridian Restaurant, or dory-caught seafood and ice cream at the general store. It’s an easy day-trip to the Tillamook Creamery in one direction or the delights of Lincoln City in the other, but you’ll have endless beach walking, tidepooling, dune-climbing and more right off your own back porch at Barefoot Bungalow!

We started a new tradition with our family on the Oregon coast. The bungalow was cozy with a well equipped kitchen. It was warm and inviting!
We really enjoyed the stay.
First trip to Oregon. Loved the beach location and the easy access up and down the coast. House was very comfortable and really appreciated the fireplace to cut the morning chill. Might want to consider a few additional accommodations for the older traveler (75+).
This house was great and had everything we needed. Wonderful location. We had trouble getting in with the code but the property manager was very responsive and got us in right away. This house was perfect for our group of four (two couples). Quiet neighborhood, super close to the beach.
We loved staying at the Barefoot Bungalow with our family of 4. Plenty of space, great kitchen fully stocked and multiple areas to lounge outside. The master bedroom was comfortable with a nice bathroom. We appreciated the beach toys and bikes, with great access to a quieter section of beach. The town is only a short walk or 5 minute bike ride away. We would definitely stay here again. Dream beach cabin for us!
Wonderful amenities, and easy stay with a toddler! Will definitely be back.
We enjoyed this home. It was clean and comfortable and an easy, short walk to the beach and shops/restaurants.
Wonderful house completely stocked with everything you will need! Comfortable beds and great showers! Short walk to the beach and the Pelican Grill.
Our family of 5 had a great time at the Barefoot Bungalow. The house was clean, well maintained/equipped, and fully stocked with everything we would need for a 4 night getaway. Neighborhood was very quiet with friendly people walking around the trails. It was our base for exploring up and down the Oregon coast, from Cannon Beach in the north to Newport in the south. The house is walking distance to the beach (via short trail), to Pelican Brewing, and to Cape Kiwanda.
This rental was very conveniently located with a walking path to the beach. We found the unit clean and tidy, however, there was no BBQ as the listing stated.
Great proximity to beach and activities. The house was perfect for 5 people
We enjoyed this property. Close to beach, local attractions and hikes. Very clean, well appointed kitchen and comfortable!
Great central location to take day trips up and down the coast
An excellent location and warm ambiance.
We really enjoyed our stay at this great little beach house. Very clean, and well stocked and the gas fireplace was a nice treat during the typical Oregon spring weather.
The house was just as we expected. Only thing we experienced was that the bikes need to be upgraded. We had a wonderful time!
Amazing! Great location for hiking, shopping, and the beach. It’s secluded but centrally located. The owner has the house beautifully furnished with a kitchen that is extremely well equipped. As an added bonus, the bathroom floors are heated and the gas fireplace was terrific. Highly recommend - will return for sure!
