Stayed Aug 5, 2024Bare Foot Retreat is a great house! The space accommodated us wonderfully, and the outside space was amazing, too! The outside bar area was a favorite, and we spent much of our home time there. Having an ice machine in the bar area was also a great accommodation. The dock area is excellent as well. However, the dock's location to the main channel creates rough water for swimming around and tying a boat up to the outside of the dock. We enjoyed the vast number of games the house provided, and the proximity to Bagnell Strip was great, too! My only complaint was that the house was not thoroughly cleaned upon arrival. I contacted the house manager, who was accommodating and understood our disappointment. A cleaning crew came back and cleaned it to everyone's standards. I would stay at this house again! I highly recommend it for a large family get-together.

Stayed Jun 11, 2024100% recommend! 4 families stayed — 8 adults, 8 kids This home had EVERYTHING we needed — space for each family, TWO full kitchens, 2 laundry rooms, 2 bunk rooms, steps from a large, private dock, and an elevator!! We LOVED the outdoor bar, the pool table, the decks off every level. The beds were very comfortable and the A/C units kept us very cool and comfortable in the crazy heat. Right off the Bagnell Dam Strip - visited Tucker Shucker’s, Malt Monkey and the Arcade. Communication w/ the owner was top notch. He recommended Dog Days Restaurant - it was SO fun. We already have plans to return next summer! We were in town for the Youth World Series at Ballparks National. An amazing 1st experience at Lake of the Ozarks. We can’t wait to come back!!!

Stayed Jul 23, 2023We were a group of 3 families. The property had plenty of room for us to spread out both inside and outside. Beautiful sunsets. Large dock with lounge chairs for tanning, lots of room to float (when the boats went by we had our own little wave pool), and great fishing. The outside bar was also a favorite place to relax in the shade with a great view of the lake. We have rented a few house in the Lake of the Ozarks and this is now on the top of our list.

Stayed Jul 20, 2023We absolutely loved this property. It was a great fit for our girls trip. We spent most of our time outside in the back deck bar and in the water. There was more than enough space for the 13 of us to spread out and not feel on top of each other. More than one of our party truly hope to rent this house again. Communication with the host was easy, prompt, and friendly. Highly recommend!
