Nestled on the Big Island of Hawai'i’s Kohala Coast, you'll find The Last Resort, a 2-acre property where world travelers, friends and family can make magical memories that last a lifetime. The Last Resort recently completed a large-scale renovation to give guests the perfect blend of luxury and nature. From swinging on our 300-year old Banyan tree, to picking tropical fruits from our orchard, to watching sunsets on your porch - you’ll quickly feel the energy and joy of this corner of the world.

The Banyan + Bamboo Combo is The Last Resort’s largest home. This listing combines our full Banyan House and master Bamboo Suite, unlocking the adjoining door between the two units to give families more space and privacy.

The Banyan House’s first floor open concept living room and kitchen is simply grand, and is outfitted with Restoration Hardware and Williams Sonoma. With large bay windows looking out onto nature, high-end furnishings, a chef’s kitchen, and an outdoor dining table - you’ll love sharing meals, board games, and movie nights here. The first floor also includes a brand new half bath and outdoor rain shower as well as a large wrap-around lanai (porch).

An adjoining door off the living room leads you into the Bamboo Suite, which includes a king bed, desk area and remodeled kitchenette. Step onto The Bamboo Suite’s peaceful back porch and enjoy breakfast on the cafe table, time on your yoga mat, or just snooze on the chaise loungers. Not only does the Bamboo Suite include a large, full bathroom with a Toto toilet and double shower heads, but guests can also soak under the brand-new outdoor rain shower or in the custom basalt tub.

Upstairs in the Banyan House, you’ll find two primary bedrooms - each with a full-size bed and French doors that open onto the second-floor porch, which boasts the best views on the property. At the far end of the hallway is a breezy sleeping porch with two additional twin beds. You’ll feel like you’re sleeping in a jungle canopy on this fully-enclosed porch. The bedrooms share a full bath, which features an extra large, dual-head shower.

Banyan + Bamboo Combo guests get to enjoy a beautiful lawn, a covered BBQ area, and a laundry room, making it perfect for families to sink in and stay a while.

Please note that we have an on-site property landscaper that may be watering and tending to the lawns, gardens, and orchard near the home during daylight hours.
