This gorgeous home is in a very quiet and serene setting. Comfortably appointed we enjoyed watching the tides roll in and out The owner is extremely responsive to request and questions. The location was perfect for us with easy access to all the amenities of Olympia. And a plus for us was the very friendly resident outdoor cat.
Great location and great property
We were looking for a place for a quick dose of peace and quiet and this place worked perfectly for us. The owner was very helpful, the place was clean and had everything we needed.
The location is stellar. The home is beautiful and the views are amazing. The beachfront is gorgeous- we were on the beach every morning and evening- we loved all of it. The stairs to the beach are very steep, fine for older kids and those with good balance and strength. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to be able to stay again. Location is 10 minutes to downtown Olympia and 15 minutes to I5. Definitely recommend.
We didn’t want to leave! My friend and I were in the Seattle/Olympia area to do some hiking and found this incredible gem of a home. We felt so lucky! It’s beautiful inside and out, with gorgeous views and an impressive property. The home itself is amazing—-so unique and with a wonderful family history. We felt like we were in paradise. The host was kind, informative and very welcoming! I highly recommend this home!
Lovely home in a very relaxing setting with amazing views. Definitely take a beach walk with Craig - he has amazing knowledge of the area and the sea creatures living in the Sound. Also take Craig up on any other activities he invites you to partake in. He is an amazing host and a lot of fun. The view of the ocean, the birds and the wildlife make for a fantastic stay
Great view, cozy home, a cook’s kitchen, natural yard for incredible bird watching. Beautiful northwest home design and local art. Host was generous and kind. Great source of information and guidance for visitors to this area. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The garden and view are beautiful. The steps to the beach are unevenly spaced and sized, and the hand railing is quite low, making it a potentially dangerous descent and climb.
Pros: The property was lovely with beautiful artwork and very nice appliances. The view was good and the landscaping is really pretty. Cons: One of the comforters had something questionable on the underside. Major issue was that this is a main residence and the property owner stays in a cabin on the beach (which is far below the house). We felt spied upon and like our privacy was invaded (for example, a bag was moved while we were away once). My niece was frightened when the owner appeared in the backyard at one point. I do think the owner was nice and he kindly grilled dinner for us one night and he also took my sister and me on a guided kayak tour (during which we had a simply amazing interaction with a curious seal). But the overall feeling was uncomfortable and it had an impact on our enjoyment of our vacation.
Craig was a very nice host. He even set up a bonfire fir us one evening to allow us to enjoy viewing the sunset. The house is beautifully designed and furnished.
