Three heralded breweries with tasting rooms, Jester King Brewery, Twisted X Brewing, and Thirsty Planet, are located in or near Dripping Springs, and the granddaddy of them all, Real Ale Brewing, has a fun Friday tour and tasting at their brewery in Blanco. Acclaimed distilleries including Dripping Springs Vodka (and Gin), Deep Eddy Vodka, and Treaty Oak Distilling, also make their home here, as does apple cidery, Argus Cidery.

This BEAUTIFUL retreat was perfect for a long weekend away after a conference in Austin! It was stocked with the essentials for us to be able to cook our big breakfasts, do laundry -after so many days away from home- & comfortable accommodations. It was a good 8-10 min from the main commercial areas of Dripping Springs, but we loved the distance (& scenery!) We had never been to TX before & were excited to see dark sky Texas, but (of course) the midwest clouds/rain followed us down... BUT this location was central to so many wineries, state parks, eateries, etc. that we were absolutely pleased with our visit anyway!! Next time we'll catch the starts & wildlife!Highly recommend!

We planned a trip to this area for a Valentine's Day hike and BBQ crawl. Amazing BBQ nearby at Pig Pen or JPs in Wimberley! Close location to Pedernales Falls State Park where we hiked Wolf Mountain and LBJ State Park visit in Johnson City. It was nice to come home to a gated secluded rental with excellent views from back porch in Avita but also enjoyed spending time on covered front patio during the rain. This unit accommodated everything we needed for our visit with plans to eat out, no oven so we did bring our toaster oven for snacks. Had a great time and Elwood communicated well. Not a lot of check-out requirements which was nice! Highly recommend this unit and there are other units available depending on your needs.

The cabin was perfect! Just the right size! The host seems to have thought of all of the needs from toiletries to kitchen! The view from the back porch is perfect for relaxing with a good book and to view the sunrise and sunset! The host was welcoming and communicated all important info before my stay. I’ll definitely be bookmarking this place for the future!
