Jan/Feb Special Pricing! Enjoy mountain living while only 5 miles from downtown Asheville! Located on Elk Mountain Scenic Hwy, a beautiful mountain road leading to the Blue Ridge Pkwy and is a major destination for road cyclists. Only minutes for N. Asheville and downtown.

Elk Mountain Scenic Hwy connects to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our home is only 5-minutes from all of the north Asheville amenities including Fresh Market and Ingles and only 10-minutes from downtown Asheville. It's an incredibly spacious home with 3 levels.

Relax on the deck while catching fire-flies, listening to the cicadas and watching for wildlife sightings - including turkeys and bears!

Over 2500 sq ft of space on close to an acre of land.

Master bedroom/bath with king bed is located on main level and has connecting bathroom with double vanity. The two bedrooms upstairs have queen beds and share a full bathroom, as well as an upstairs den with TV. In the fully finished basement you will find a separate living area with wet bar, dart board, private deck with porch swing, comfy couches and TV with video games and movies. On this level there is a king bedroom with private bath and separate entrance off this room for extra privacy.

The main house and basement have separate AC units to ensure comfort for everyone. We have toys and books for the little ones and a pack and play.

We are dog friendly and require an additional $75 Pet Fee per dog (per stay). Please note, fence around property is not secure or complete.

Hotsprings Hot Tub. $75 Cleaning Fee applies for use.

Our driveway is pretty steep and a little tricky. It holds 3-4 cars without anyone having to move their car. More cars would require some car shuffling to come and go. In the fall, wet leaves can be slippery on the drive.

In winter months, Asheville has the occasional snow or ice. Our mountain road is normally plowed right away, or melts off quickly, but sometimes it might be later in the day. So if you don't have 4wd it is the perfect opportunity to spend the day making snowmen and sledding!

Recently renovated with all new wood floors throughout home and all new painting. In addition, we have an upgraded kitchen with every amenity imaginable.

Home was not damaged by Hurricane Helene.

A very nice mountain house that has several levels allowing for privacy for the various family members (and children). While close to downtown, it feels nice and secluded.

Our family had a nice weekend stay, the location was very nice and quiet and the home was well stocked with supplies and the rooms were nicely decorated. Having the different areas was spacious for a large family and the beds were comfortable. The lower area was great for the grandparents as it even had it's own entry door. The scenic drive also connects to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and doing the Craggy Pinnacle hike was a fun side trip. It was a good place for a large family to stay while touring the Asheville area.

Enjoyed our stay in Asheville. House is a quick/easy 10-15 minute trip into Asheville where you will find plenty to do with excellent shopping, restaurants, and breweries to keep you occupied. There are also several trails to explore that are within 20-35 minutes if you want to explore the outdoors (Mountains to Sea trail, Bailey Mountain Preserve in Mars Hill, numerous trails in Black Mountain, Catawba Falls in Old Forte). Keep your pet on a leash while hiking and at the cabin. There are bears in the area. We ran into a momma and her 2 cubs on the mountain to sea trail. She just wanted to be left alone and went on her way. While we were out and about a bear tried to break into the bear proof trash can at the cabin. He/she was able to bend the lid just enough to get a paw down in there to shred the garbage bag and to pull a few items out but didn’t get much. While hiking in Montreat/Black Mountain crossed paths with a timber rattlesnake that we had to gently relocate off of the trail to get on by.House had everything you would need to cook your meals in. Hot tub was nice to relax in the evenings. Nice to have separate living areas for the group to spread out when needed. We didn’t use the fire pit. Area around it was a little overgrown with vines. Would like to see a more defined area where you aren’t sitting in your chair in long grass/vines and bigger fire pit area so we could have hung out there. Other than that would recommend it as a place to stay.

We loved the deck overlooking such a beautiful setting, and where we sat with our family eating and catching up. It was everything we had hoped for.

The home is very nice. 4 comfortable bedrooms. Mama Bear and two cubs were in the woods behind the house. Gorgeous creatures. This is a pet friendly house and while the house was clean there is pet hair.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home. The size was perfect for our family. We really appreciated that there were bedrooms AND living spaces on each level. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and our son and his wife enjoyed the hot tub. The only issue we had was repeated bear encounters. It was great fun to watch them as we sat on the deck, but More than a bit of a hassle, cleaning up the trash that they strewed all over several times during our stay. I believe the owner is trying to come up with a solution for this, but I know it's difficult because they are determined! In spite of the bears, we had a Great stay at this comfortable mountain home.

The property is exactly as described. Each of the 4 bedrooms comfortable and quiet. Lots of gathering spaces. Well-equipped kitchen for cooks. No need to go out really. Would certainly use again if in the area.
