This was our second stay at the Sandlot House in Cape Charles, Virginia, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered—if not better. There’s something so special about this quaint little town. The laid-back atmosphere and genuinely kind, welcoming people make it such an easy place to relax and unwind.One of the things we love most is how pet-friendly everything is. Traveling with our dog Fiona is always a joy here, and the included golf cart continues to be a highlight—especially for her! She absolutely loves riding along as we cruise around town, taking in the sights together.The home itself is beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. It truly feels like a home away from home, which is a big part of why we chose to come back for a second stay.We had another fantastic visit and are already looking forward to returning again next year!

We absolutely loved The Sandlot House. Our best stay in CC yet! We’ve always rented a golf cart but having one at the house already was such a luxury. Loved the location between the beach and park - the kids have a lot of freedom and independence being able to wander around safely on their own. Had a great night sitting out by the fire pit. Thank you so much for sharing your family haven!! We will be back!

We had kids, grandparents & dogs and this was the perfect house for all of us! It was an easy walk to the beach or the playground/pickleball park. We enjoyed the golf cart and bikes provided as well. We all loved our stay at The SandLot House.

The Sandlot House is in an ideal location near the beach and the historic shopping district. The neighborhood is safe and comfortable. The house worked well for our Friendsgiving group of four adults and one child. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely renovated and the house was very clean.

The house was pet friendly and in a great location, not far from shops, restaurants, and the beach! We all loved keeping warm by the fire pit in the evenings. The kitchen was well stocked so it was easy to prepare meals while there. Everyone had a great time!

Fantastic getaway with the family! The house is very nice, with modern and stylish updates. The location is excellent, especially when you factor in the included golf cart. The owner is extremely responsive, accommodating, and generous. I have nothing but good things to say about our stay here in Cape Charles, 100% we would stay here again and again and… etc

This is our go to vacation rental in Cape Charles! We’ve stayed here multiple times. It’s close to the beach, park, and restaurants. The house is spacious, comfortable and well maintained. The owners are super responsive to any questions or concerns. Highly recommend this rental.

Great property in a beautiful town. The house was very clean and was great to stay in. The location was great and was just a short walk to the beach and the shops. We had a great time there and are already talking about another trip back! The checkin and checkout were super easy and the owners were great!

The house worked perfectly for our vacation with two young children and pup. The kids loved the bunk beds and golf cart. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings. There was so much thoughtfulness in all the essentials that were stocked - well above and beyond. We look forward to booking this home again next year!

Lovely property for a group! Close enough to walk to the beach, park and shops/restaurants. The golf cart made everything extra easy as well! Also it is an excellent property for kids (mine are 2 and 5).

The Sandlot was the perfect place for our family. We absolutely love Cape Charles and The Sandlot made our most recent trip the BEST we have ever had to the Eastern Shore. The host and house are truly so welcoming. Our family enjoyed being so close to the water, the park, and the delicious places to eat that were in walking distance. There wasn’t a day that we didn’t start and end on the front porch and the backyard was the absolute best too. We are hoping all the stars align and we are able to make our way back to The Sandlot again next year.

Our second visit did not disappoint! As always, perfect location, house, and hosts! This year, we enjoyed hosting friends on the back deck - complete with the bistro lights for the perfect Memorial Day Weekend cookout.

This was our second stay at The Sandlot House. We had 3 generations plus our dachshund. Everyone of us agrees it's the ONLY VRBO for us! We're already looking at dates for our next visit. The full-time resident neighbors are friendly and quiet. We enjoyed the fire pit twice for s'mors. It's so close to the park and the beach...walkable distance for everyone. The golf cart as part of the VRBO agreement is definitely a plus. We did rent an 8 seater for our whole family to travel in as well. The linens, the bath towels, the beach towels; the beach chairs..all were wonderful!And the huge dig crate was perfect for our dachshund to nap while we stepped out.

The Sandlot is PERFECT for a family getaway!! Close to the beach,restaurant and shopping! Will definitely come back!

Our stay was fantastic. The location of the house was perfect. 2 blocks to the beach. Two blocks to the town. If you've never been to Cape Charles - go! It's the cutest time.

We loved our stay at The Sandlot! It reminded me of visiting my grandmother’s house on the coast. I love the older style homes. But having everything updated for modern times was great too. And we appreciated all of the extra touches included to make our stay more enjoyable. It was like staying at a cozy family vacation home. I’m probably not explaining it well, but it brought back so many great memories! The neighborhood and town are so charming. We can’t wait to come back!

We spent the long weekend at The Sandlot House with family and had a wonderful time! Location was perfect - right by Central Park where we enjoyed tennis, soccer, and the playground with the kids, and we were a couple blocks from the beach where thanks to our Sandlot hosts, we enjoyed paddleboarding! Having a golf cart included with this stay was amazing! We made s’mores at the fire pit in the backyard and were able to enjoy all of downtown Cape Charles during our stay. Can’t wait to return!

What a great time we had! this is our number one place to stay for our family vacation. The amenities were appropriate and easy to access. The host was wonderful and a pleasure to communicate with, very responsive. Highly recommend staying here.

This house is amazing! It was super clean, fully stocked from the kitchen to the toys in the garage. We can’t wait to stay here again!

This property is as perfect as it sounds! Location, cleanliness, fully stocked - we can’t rate it high enough! We traveled with grandparents and kiddos (including our 9 month old!) and all were entertained and comfortable during our entire stay. Our highlight was the included golf cart - in the past we’ve paid hundreds of dollars to rent a golf cart in Cape Charles for the week. We also loved being able to bring our furry friend on the trip! For those traveling with littles- pack and play, high chair, baby gate - you name it, you don’t need to pack it. Thank you so much to Scott and his family for opening up their home to us. It truly feels like you’re visiting friends when staying in The Sandlot House!
