Stayed Jul 2, 2022The 5-star tenant reviews for this property are somewhat accurate. There is one exception and it’s a big one. The description mentions that owners will come by to care for the garden but they fail to mention the fact that the owners reside on the property in a visible area. And, you will see them and they may interact with you. So there is no complete privacy. This should certainly be disclosed in the rental description on VRBO as visitors may be in for a surprise.

Stayed Aug 1, 2021Danielle and Michael are perfect hosts, generous, warm and accommodating and our stay at their beautiful house was nothing short of magical...the grounds and gardens are a nature lover's dream, from the deer and fauns, enormous wild turkeys with their teens, bunnies and incredible bird life. We enjoyed every moment we spent here and wished it never ended!. The house is spacious and comfortable, beautifully decorated and fully equipped. Our children loved being outside in the gardens, swinging in the hammock or looking for feathers and Danielle treated us to fresh vegetables from her home garden. The walk to Iron Pier Beach on the Sound is exactly 4 minutes at a six year old's pace and the area is surrounded by farm stands and a short drive to Jamesport and Peconic Bay. Thank you Danielle and Michael for making our North Fork visit such a wonderful and memorable one!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My family stayed at Danielle and Michael's home for two months over the summer, splitting our time between the city and Long Island. The property is secluded and bucolic, with lots of nature to enjoy - from the deer, turtles, wild turkeys, and the bunnies to the wild berries growing in and around the property. The beach is a five minute walk and was never overly crowded, and the water (since it is the bay) is not too cold or rough, which was perfect for my two young kids. We used the canoe on the property for several trips on the water, which was a real treat! What made our stay even more special was the graciousness and generosity of our hosts. Danielle and Michael were kind and attentive, and our boys woke up every morning wanting to go visit them . . . we have been gone several weeks and their names come up regularly. They shared the fruits and vegetables in their garden with us regularly, which were delicious. We really enjoyed getting to know them and feel so fortunate to have met them. In short - the property is amazing, which is not surprising, because the owners are wonderful people who have created a truly magical home! We cannot wait to go back.
