Stayed Apr 26, 2024We booked the Ark Bunkhouse for our anniversary and really enjoyed the experience. The bunkhouse is 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, but feels very private. We enjoyed the balcony as well as the bench swing outside. We spent most of our time indoors in the upstairs part of the house, and the whole house was cozy and clean. (We did encounter some tiny bugs which came in from outside, but that's really unavoidable with a cabin in the Texas springtime). We also had the amazing experience of seeing some baby lambs being born during our stay, and got to chat with Mike and his son. Additionally, Mike had a bottle of wine inside when we checked in and even gave us some eggs before we left. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again. It was a perfect getaway!

Stayed May 25, 2024Beautiful property that is located right in the heart of Texas wine country and a short trip into Fredericksburg. Thoughtful touches of decor added to the overall ambiance. Owner of the property is very kind, and we had open communication. We will definitely stay here again!

Stayed Nov 17, 2023We enjoyed the stay at Ark Bunkhouse. The listing was accurate, the check in and out was easy. The house was clean and we did not want for anything. The owner lives next door and stopped by one time to say hi and make sure we were happy or if we needed anything. He’s a very nice man. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the country. Nice views of wildlife as well.

Stayed Feb 17, 2023Amazing private bunk house with hot tub on a private ranch of a sweet couple. The property was beautiful, the bunk house was like stepping back in the Texas old west, so much nostalgia in the antique and unique decor. There are chickens and a rooster named judge that does wake you up in the morning, a refreshing moment that reminds you your not in the city anymore. The hot tub is so nice in a private setting and at night the stars are so bright and abundant away from any light pollution. The property owners are a delight and even gave us a dozen fresh eggs as a parting gift! All in all it was a wonderful and relaxing experience with many memories.
