We had a great stay at this house in the woods. It is off the beaten path, but actually quite close to anything you need. Every thing is just as described and exactly as pictured. Our family used most of the amenities: bonfire, enormous tv, hot tub, and woodsy trail and we really appreciated the owner's careful attention to making sure all was ready for us. In addition, the owner was very responsive to all my questions leading up to the trip. Fantastic house + excellent owner equals fabulous trip!
Very convenient to our son's wedding venue and made it easy for us to go back and forth.
I spent the weekend with friends at this wonderful escape tucked in the woods. The house was spacious, clean, and well appointed throughout. Every bed is comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. The hot tub was relaxing, and even though it was raining most of the time, we enjoyed being surrounded by green outside the many windows. Very easy check in and check out, great communication from Bence. Highly recommend for a local getaway.
The property is very private and beautiful, a park-like setting. The house was perfect for our extended family gathering and Bence was responsive and helpful in every way. We would definitely stay at this property again!
I have stayed at several BnB properties over the years (less during Covid, of course), and this was one of the best I have experienced. The house is more than comfortable, with a fabulous kitchen; the host is accommodating and helpful; and the amenities are outstanding. The property abuts a forest through which one can hike to a creek and on to a reservoir. The out-building, a vintage tobacco house, contains a ping-pong table, a foos ball table and a dart board, as well as a porch on which to just sit and admire the beautiful lawn --- on which one can play bocce with the balls provided by the host. The hot tub on the brand new deck is beyond relaxing, and was extremely clean. We were a group of seven adult men and we were able to sleep very comfortably in the beds provided. We did use one air mattress, for additional privacy, but we could have done without that. The host had prepared a bon fire in the fire pit, and set aside enough wood for us to keep the fire going well into the night. As the fire died down, the star gazing was magnificent. There are ample amenities nearby as well, such as groceries, breweries, restaurants and such all within 20 minutes or so. For a special treat, try the Farmers Market in Carrboro on Saturday mornings. You cannot go wrong with this property. Enjoy!
My family drove from Texas to NC for Spring Break. We stayed at Bence's place for a few days to rest up for the long drive back to Texas. It was out in the country so it was nice and quiet but also had the modern conveniences of Wi-Fi and smart TVs. If you want to stay on property, there is plenty to do - an old tobacco barn with foosball, darts, and a ping pong table, a fire pit, and walking trails. If you want to go out, there are several towns about 20 minutes away - Chapel Hill, Mebane, Carrboro, and the cute town of Saxapahaw is only 5 minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking to go back in the summer so we can get even more use out of the hammock, hot tub, and outdoor decks.
To describe the experience in a word, fantastic! Our family staycation exceeded all expectations. Naps in the hammock, ping pong and foosball tournaments, hot tubbing... This was a weekend when memories were made. Bence is a great host.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The beds were clean and the hot tub was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this property. We will be staying here again when we return in six months.
The perfect trifecta for a North Carolina getaway...luxury, beauty and seemingly remote but still close to Chapel Hill. The entire home was spotless which served as a great first impression. Also, Bence created a welcome book detailing just the right places to go including the delightful village of Saxapahaw! We frequented The Saxapahaw General Store and “The Eddy” located just a few miles down the road, and intend to try Pluck Farm Brewery the next time we’re in town. We made our way to Chapel Hill for dinner which was a quick car ride away, but was surprised at how happy we were to return to the tranquility of our accommodations, particularly while sitting in Adirondack chairs under the stars. The tobacco barn (located on the property) was a cool bit of history and the short woodsy walk to bootleggers mill (also on the property) brought an unexpecteded fun bit of adventure to the weekend. If you are looking for a quiet getaway yet still close to the larger surrounding towns then you won't find a better place. Thank you Bence!
