Walla Walla, Washington
Dwelling #1336 is truly artful creation. It is a reappropriation of pieces belonging to local/regional structures; wall boards from a Walla Walla cabin, angle iron from irrigation center pivot, structural timbers from a Lowden grain storage bin, steel trusses from a elementary school, and beams from the Umatilla Chemical Weapons Depot. These pieces were thoughtfully placed to create a minimalistic dwelling that is sustainable and comfortable.
This home is located in a semi rural setting, just minutes away from the downtown and beautiful views of the blue mountains. It is an ideal space for a couples get away weekend. The home has one bedroom, a lovely kitchen, and cozy wood burning stove. The large windows and open design create a feel of spaciousness and ease for all who stay here.
It was easy to locate home, amenities were great, nice not having to bring slot of xtras. The house was very unique and experience was wonderful.
This is a unique, artistic home in the heart of wine country. Every item that makes up this home, inside and out, was done with purpose and taste. Well-appointed kitchen with top of the line appliances and equipment. This place is very special.
House was just as advertised and more. Beautifully built and filled with thought out furnishing and extras. Nice linen and towels, well stocked kitchen and interesting books and board games. Driveway is a bit tricky especially at night but we were given good directions. Loved our stay here and would like to visit again!
We had an amazing time. Very cool property and design. Great location for wineries and downtown restaurants.
Absolutely wonderful guest house and location. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Walla Walla!
Modern, spotless, perfect for a couple. Great patio area that gets fantastic morning sun. Great ventilation and light, coolest sliding doors ever, the curtains are in the door! Property manager gave us some fun spots to visit too.
The house is lovely with reclaimed materials and an open plan. The kitchen was set up nicely and easy to use.
The house is very cute. Almost all of the constuction was made from local reclaimed building materials. Totally fun. We even discussed building a vacation home like this. We are going to stay here again.
I was going to call it a diamond in the rough, but I don't want to imply it needs work. It's a one-of-a-kind house built out of reclaimed materials, including an 1870s homestead and a grain storage--hence the rough. But it was clearly designed by an artist, because it's a real work of art, especially on the inside. It's also one of the best outfitted Vrbo/Airbnb's I've ever stayed at. We've been going to Walla Walla for the past 3 years and this is the nicest place we've stayed. Will definitely try to come back.
We had a great time staying at this awesome vrbo! We felt as though the sliding door could have used curtains especially at night. There is an outside light that doesnโt turn off but there was specific instructions not to leave outside lights on for neighbors. It was a short bike ride for us to go downtown which was nice! Bed was comfy!
