Stayed Aug 28, 2025I really wanted to love this place. It's beautifully redone and an easy bike into the town. But for 500 a night I expected that it would be pretty close to perfect but there were a few minor issues. There is a hot tub but there was no chlorine for it and it was pretty dirty inside. Moldy - it needed chlorine. We couldn't find any chlorine tabs in town. We contacted Vacasa and the national team was great but we never heard from the local team about the hot tub so we couldn't use it. That was disappointing. Again 500 a night. If it was 250 a night I probably wouldn't care. The yard had some junk in it and we couldn't open the trashcan but it looked like others had this same issue. Luckily no bears came by.The furniture on the deck is pretty worn out/splinters from the bench. For the I guess I thought it would be nicer. Anyway, I kind of feel like a jerk complaining but we don't usually spend that much on rentals so I was a bit disappointed. It is very nicely redone inside.

Stayed Jul 17, 2025We enjoyed our trip to Grand Lake and our stay at the Golden Moose. The location was great for walking into town to eat, shop and play mini golf. My son loved the hot tub and used it every day. We would stay there again.

Stayed Jun 14, 2025I recently stayed at The Golden Moose Chalet in Grand Lake and had a truly wonderful experience. The chalet exceeded my expectations in every way. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and just a short distance from the heart of Grand Lake and the surrounding natural beauty. Every detail, from the comfortable beds to the inviting décor, contributed to a relaxing and memorable stay. The hosts provided clear communication and made sure everything was perfect for my visit. I highly recommend The Golden Moose Chalet to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway in Grand Lake. I can’t wait to return

Stayed Jul 2, 2025The property matched its description and is located at the entrance to the town Grand Lake. There is a hot tub on the side of the house, but the property doesn’t supply any pool towels. And, for all the properties we’ve rented across the country this is the first that didn’t provide laundry detergent. I don’t recall whether this is noted in the description but we had to make a store run. There is a fair amount of bugs in and around the property and the landscape would benefit from some cleanup. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Stayed Jan 22, 2025The cabin was cute and comfy but, unfortunately, not very clean. Literally everything we tried to use, from silverware, utensils, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, cutting board to towels and bed linens had leftover food, smudges, stains, etc. The little (toaster) oven was absolutely disgusting - needs to be removed/replaced immediately. One of the snow shovels was broken. The hot tub water level was very low. There was also no hair dryer in the place so we had to make a call and have one delivered. A bit disappointing overall.

Stayed Nov 8, 2024Wish we could’ve stayed, but road closures and severe weather for three days at the bottom of the mountain prevented us. We would’ve love to rebook and stay another time, but the on-site team was not very helpful or kind in speaking with us amidst a completely whiteout storm. Looked like a beautiful place, but we’ll look somewhere else next time.

Stayed Aug 29, 2024Very nice home, close to the lake and had plenty of furniture on the deck for our use. Has everything you need and love that it’s pet friendly! It gets a little stuffy during the day because there’s no AC but they have plenty of fans for your use to cool it down a little bit. Would recommend to anyone wanting to go during the winter or spring/ fall time.

Stayed Jun 27, 2024This was our family's first Grand Lake trip and it was so fun! The house was so clean and pretty inside. The location of the house was great. Walking distance to a market for food and walking distance to mini golf and downtown. The deck was nice to relax on at the end of the day and the fire pit was perfect for making smores. Overall, we were really happy with the house and will stay there again when we go back to Grand Lakw!

Stayed Jun 4, 2024This home was wonderful! Perfect for kids and pets. Had a grassy area for our dog. Very spacious on the inside and private. Was able to enjoy the hot tub with a view of the mountains. Home is well maintained and clean. It is remodeled and a perfect get away. Our kids loved the loft and the details that are up there available for them (nugget couch). This house had everything you could need, all while being close to town!
