Amazing dog-friendly home with private pool, game room, AC, & W/D - near beach

This house was great for our 4 kids who all got their own room! The beds were comfortable enough. The pool was a good size and allowed for fun family time. Distance to the beach was great but a bit of a hike to the actual ocean. (To be expected in OBX) The A/C was perfection! The kitchen was lacking a few things but we made it work. The house could use some touch ups and updating but all in all we had an amazing time! We loved being able to have our dogs with us!

Had a blast on our family beach trip. The house fit all of us comfortably. The pool was the perfect size. And the walk to the beach was short.

Loved the area and neighborhood. A bit off the beaten path from most OBX attractions, but very close access to the beach. The home is old. This would not be a problem if it was well maintained. There is plenty of space for a family. The great room and kitchen area was great for space for gathering and then the numerous and roomy bedrooms and multi level allowed for personal space as well. The sofa in the living room, however was filthy. We bought cheap blankets at the dollar general to cover it, because we refused to sit on it. All it needs is a good steam upholstery cleaning. The walls and baseboards are filthy. One of the outdoor swing bench things was broken. We didn't sit on any of the others because the chains and bolts connecting them were so rusted. The stove... I was surprised that it was still an electric coil stove. The drip bowls were so gross, we almost bought some of these from the Dollar General, because it's that easy... but decided we spent enough on the property and trying to make it livable for a week. One of the coils was bent and difficult to cook on. All of the saute pans were rusted and gross, there werea few sauce pans that were decent. We ended up buying a saute pan from the Dollar General as well. The microwave has been updated from the pics. The beds were clean. Clean linens. Bathrooms were clean.Pool was great. The house was comfortable and well stocked. We loved the pool.

This property could use a strong dose of refresher maintenance. Cookware was rusty; couch was dirty; some dining chairs were broke/unstable; beds not comfortable. But, the absolute biggest turnoff were the roaches. Completely disgusted me. The property manager was very responsive and quickly sent an exterminator. However, I then spent the rest of the stay picking up dead bugs and wondering how many more there were that I didn't see.

This house was not only not cleaned prior to check-in, it was infested with cockroachs, has a dangerous electrical issue in the screened deck, had animal poop in the screened deck, had a leaking pipe in the master bedroom bathroom, and had poor communication from the property manager.

Loved the house! Would stay here again.

The house was clean and comfortable. The pool was great and the beach was about 600 steps away!

It was ok. The house has a ton of spiders..needs to be fumigated. The pool was freezing, the large grill was in the garbage, so a super small charcoal grill. There was a unsafe electrical socket. Want you to mop, no mop bucket...it was ok.
