Aloha -- Pet Friendly Beach House with dock and Incredible Marsh and Creek View

We stayed at Aloha for a few days. We really enjoyed the area and activities at the house. We were able to fish off the dock, go kayaking on the marsh, and go biking in the neighborhood and on the beach. There were a couple of fat tire bikes that my son loved! Also, there were beach toys, boogie boards, fishing poles, several adult bikes, beach games and a beach wagon. The beach is only a couple of blocks away so it made for an easy walk. I would recommend visiting the beach in the evening to see how much the water rises with the tide and the kids loved playing in the pools of water! The house is in decent condition and worked for us. The master shower was a little tight. I wish the linens were included in the rental but you have to pay extra to rent bed sheets and bath towels. The location is within 10 minutes of grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

The inside was clean. The furnishings were pretty and in good shape. Windows and screens need repair. No screen door for the slider out to front porch. Other screens had many holes and tears. I taped some of them so I could open doors and windows. Living room window had to be propped to stay open. Lawn not maintained (landscaper came on Thursday). Keys did not work. Emergency maintenance was called and I had to leave a voicemail. They brought keys 1 hour later.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is comfortable, welcoming, and well stocked. The location was great with amazing views from all of the rooms. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking right off the back of the property. The house was just a short walk to a beautiful section of the beach. Being able to bring our dog was an added bonus.

We absolutely loved the property and only had one issue. The mattress in the bedroom with the queen bed and facing the marsh was very soiled. There was a mattress cover but it was so bad to us that neither one of us could sleep on it. Just need a nee mattress. I would givr everything else 5 stars.

Positive; Kitchen is adequate...home is well appointed...hvac is goodNegative; Cobwebs all over the exterior...no towels, no toiletries, no toilet paper, cigarette butts on back deck (I picked up and put in trash), liquor bottle top on deck...ashtray full of butts on downstairs table... just unsavoryThis home could be outstanding with a little TLC...

Had so much fun fishing and using the kayaks included with the house. The house was perfect for me and my family.

Peaceful location, great fishing

We had a great time in this cozy little house. It had everything we needed and a little more. Although most of the bikes had flat tires there were still two for the kids to ride on. I would also suggest bringing some of your own beach chairs because some of the ones in the building are old and might break if you sit in them like one did with me. But overall it was a great place great neighborhood easy walk to the beach and Great inlet view.

Lovely place to stay in Oak Island! Location is perfect. House is very clean and came with all the extras you could want. Very easy walk to the beach. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Clean, quaint, and great location. We had a mix up and locked ourselves out and in no time the office had another set of keys. Great experience overall 10/10 would rent here again!

Excellent location. All required amenities were available in the house and the decks were great for watching the sunrise. Was a little surprised there was no paper towels, trash bags, or even an extra roll of TP available so make sure you bring your own. Overall a great place to stay!

Very clean! Perfect for a weekend or even a week! The house had everything we needed to enjoy a quiet relaxing weekend away! We cooked and even rode bikes down to the pier! We will book again, hopefully sooner than later!!

Overlooking the intercoastal waterway, only 2 blocks from the beach! The neighborhood was quiet and dog friendly. Coffee table big enough for our puzzles. Porches to watch sunrises and sunsets. Who could ask for anything more?

Cooking pans were badly rusted, there are roof leak ceiling spots, one bed badly creaks, windows were dirty (salt build-up), some bug infestation, only one kayak despite advertised two, one window blind missing a slat, air filter had a lot of dust build-up, kitchen sink cold water faucet needs adjustment or water will be wasted, internet didn't work, washer broke but management sent repair man immediately, washer-dryer set is at least 30 years old (according to repair man), and there are enough beds for six people, not eight (as advertised)

After a little hiccup when we arrived on Sunday, everything was well above expectations. Our Molly enjoyed being able to roam on the gated decks. Our adult children loved the fishing from the dock. We spent plenty of time enjoying the sunrises and sunsets from the decks. Our host was always prompt in answering any questions that I had before our trip and during. We can’t wait to come back!
