The location is amazing. Steps away from the sand! The grill handle rusted out & dirty that immediately when you touch the handle, your hands were covered in rust. no potholders. ice machine was moldy inside. All of the white lounge chairs outside were cracked in the center. The pictures show an outdoor table and seating chairs but there wasnt one. There was no space outside to fit 12 comfortably without pulling indoor chairs outside.All bedrooms were nice except downstairs, it feels like a cold musty basement. Both downstairs exhaust fans do not work. The shower bar & the shower curtain hooks are so rusted and old just dry rotting right off. All 6 bunkbeds mattresses were so springy & loud that it would wake up everybody in the downstairs area everytime the kids moved. No dressers in bunk bed rooms. The floors all look like they've never been mopped ever. Downstairs carpet disgusting. I love the 2 dishwashers and 3 full size fridges. There is duct tape in the downstairs shower that's covering up holes. The pool in october was freezing and not heated so we go no use out of that. Keep that in mind. The little kiddie pool is just stagnant water. The arcade game was out of order. Most the board games are missing pieces. The kitchen chair cushions are all stained. The lamp in downstairs br doesnt work. The inside upper section of toilets were filthy. A used band aid in closet. Dirty sock under bed. Owner was responsive to everything except when i mentioned the 2 cockroaches

Had a problem with one of the bathrooms it was fixed immediately! Also the communication w property manager was flawless…

We booked this rental to have a family get together to attend my son's graduation from ATTC in Elizabeth City. The property was in a great location, within 2 hours of Norfolk airport, and close enough to drive to Hatteras, Roanoke Island, and Kitty Hawk.The management team was extremely responsive to every question or concern. It was beyond excellent customer service. We had a couple of issues with the K cup brewer, and within one hour of my inquiry, a brand new one was delivered and installed! The power supply for the electric griddle was MIA, so, guess what, a brand new one was dropped off for our use.The check in-check out was effortless, and they even offered to extend our stay because we arrived late, but our plans didn't allow us to take advantage of the offer.The property is updated, and in good shape. It could use a little TLC, but so does everyone's personal property. The house showed signs of great times and lasting memories, and we were glad that we made some there as well. Everything we needed for our stay was there, and if you need more than 3 refrigerator/freezers, a wine cooler, and a countertop ice maker, I'd like to get an invite!We visited in the off season (March 2025) and the weather was a bit cooler than normal, so the pool table, board games, and arcade got a good work out! The hot tub was a nice addition on the cooler evenings.I would love to have another reason to visit the OBX, because this property would be #1 on my list!

Great location

Pros: Beds comfortable, soft cotton sheets, well supplied kitchen, roomy, nice big dining table, living room cozy and great for big gatherings, washer and dryer, 3 refrigerators. Bathrooms clean. No mold. Kid safety latches on gates and alarm on basement door. Quiet and peaceful area. Cons: no oven mitts or trivets, no fly swatter. Funky odor down stairs. Bath mats were dirty or stained. Outdoor water turned off so we couldn’t wash sandy feet or use for grill flares. Lots of sand spurs in carpet. Only 1 towel per customer. Portable ice maker dirty. 1 of the outside trash cans were full. Rusty nails and wood chards on walk to beach.

Only complaint was it appeared the cleaning crew did not wash the bottom most bed sheet. The rest of the sheets were clean, along with the rest of the house. Everything else ran smooth including pool and hot tub. Location is great and easy access to beach.

Check in was easy. Overall the property including the pools was clean when we arrived. So close to the ocean that everybody enjoyed. Adults enjoy the big pool and small children had a blast in the small pool. Replies to questions were so fast. After couple of days, technician came to clean pools and hot tub of sand again. Accesibility to other recreational activities ( go cart, mini golf, fishing, surging)and grocery were excellent.

This is a good property in a great location. The house w as clean but needs some love. We had an issue with the dryer not heating, they came and fixed It but it took the actual repairman to come out and do something I told the 1st guy to do. ( Clean out the lint) . The inground hot tub has a ton of sand and water it it. Just drain it and put flowers or fill it in. There was sand piled up on the back porch, around the outdoor toliet. The floor in the game room bathroom is falling in, the kitchen tile is chipped in alot of places, the counter tops are all messed up and cracked. I would rent another place 3 doors down that was clean out side.

Our family rented this place to be together for a celebration of life which was supposed to be a joy but instead we were burdened with a low quality rental that needed lots of clean-up and work-arounds. Grill, pots, dishes were all filthy. Cookie/baking sheets disgusting. Kitchen was completely disorganized. No potholders for oven, no scissors for opening food, a burner out, ice maker had mold in it, trash can broken with no lid, water filter needed to be changed on the refrig. Screens blown out of the front porch. All of the blankets were filthy and needed washing. Quality of mattresses and pillows poor. Roku was missing from TV. Remote for main TV in family room didn't work. It's a shame - the place is a great location and has a lot of potential. Also, Outer Banks blue wouldn't do anything post the rental - basically said you should have called us. If I had to call for everything I found wrong I would have been on the phone with them every hour. They won't do anything after the fact to compensate a bad rental - really poor customer service.
