We enjoyed our stay—the cottage was clean and communication with the owner was great. The views of the lake from the deck were beautiful. Something to note when traveling with small children or elderly parents—the floors are very uneven and could possibly be a risk for falling.
Adorable cottage on the lake. Deck has terrific sunset views. Clean and well stocked. We had a relaxing wonderful time.
Very nice place on the lake! Adam Is wonderful!
This was the most organized and well stocked home yet! Can't wait to come back!
This cottage was the perfect escape from the South’s endless Summer heat! We enjoyed the unobstructed view of beautiful Hubbard Lake, the breathtaking sunsets, star gazing and a nightly fire beside the lake. The cottage was super clean, is extremely well equipped kitchen-wise, and the beds super comfortable,….we didn’t want for a thing. Our host, Adam, was outstanding in his communications with us on the rare occasion we had a question. All in all we had a wonderful, relaxing time in this beautiful lake house! We will be back!
Children really enjoyed the paddle boat and the kayaks.
The cottage is very clean and nicely updated, and the location is spectacular with the easy lake access (less steep than most HL properties) and beautiful view. The kayaks and paddle boat were so much fun! The indoor spaces are much smaller than we expected, and there is no indoor dining table, which is fine if the weather makes eating on the deck feasible, but that wasn't always the case. Additionally, the house has several different levels where the floor goes up or down several inches from one room to the next, which were a real tripping hazard for the little kids and older folks in our group.
Great spot - the house needs a little TLC; very campy. A little expensive for the amenities; The owners were wonderful and very communicative.
House was very comfortable. Amazing location. Caught some fish. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home.
Mostly great, but a couple cautions Kitchen well stocked and clean- small table but we ate outside on well shaded deck. Beautiful sunsets from the lawn under some great trees. Lake huge and felt like we had to ourselves with minimal boat traffic The dock a little rough and wobbly but owner said there was a storm and he was going to fix it soon There were threshold trip hazards inside property, but not a deal breaker, just be careful The lack of AC was not a big deal- the place is well shaded and insulated and did not get too hot inside (and it was not while we were there.) Visit the Alcona Brewhaus in Nearby Harrisville, the owner shared her passion for revitalizing area by bringing great beer and food at a place that had been vacant and she and her husband brought back to life. Rocky by shore, but ladder at end of dock allowed for better water access, and it was nice swimming. There were weeds, but they were like carpet and not slimy - water very clean. Great trip!!
