Summary:

Gorgeous cottage on the beach side of the Great Ocean Road.

The Space:

This light-filled, cosy beach cottage is set on a fully fenced, large block in a quiet street on the ocean side of The Great Ocean Road. Just a three-minute walk to Sandy Gully Beach and the stunning cliff top walking trail, it offers the perfect location for a summer holiday or winter retreat. The two bedrooms are comfortable and light, with the master overlooking the back yard. The family bathroom has a shower over a large bath complete with grab rails, and a second toilet is situated at the back of the house. The bright and airy open plan living area has three couches and a comfy window seat that offers the perfect place to curl up with a book. Wraparound louvred windows allow the cooling sea breeze and the scent and sound of the ocean to waft throughout the house, while the songs of the birds in the native garden adds to the soundtrack of a quintessentially Australian holiday. The funky 60's kitchen overlooks the fully fenced back yard complete with a gas BBQ and small patio area with outdoor setting. The paved driveway offers off street parking and can accommodate two cars. This property considers pets upon request and has a secured backyard.

Great stay with extended family in an old school beach house with all of the comforts! Huge backyard and pet friendly so the puppies loved it, well maintained and stones throw to the shops and beach.

Nice quaint property in quiet location, only query is that there is no air conditioning so quite a hot house in summer

This house is in a great location - very close to the cliff walk and Sandy Gully Beach. This is the second time that we have stayed here - and I highly recommend it.

Very Good. Great location. A little expensive given no linen is provided according to the rental agreement. It would be better if there were no rental agreement and linen was provided. Loved being able to have pets. Thanks

Old style beach house, expensive for what it offers. Single beds are rock hard.

This property is overpriced for the amenities provided. We knew it was an older property from the pictures, however were not expecting the unpleasant smell as we opened the front door. Small things like providing hand soap and also a fan in the bedroom would go a long way. We also had to push the mattress into the base to flatten it out. We have stayed in many similarly priced properties and this just does not justify its cost. The only positives were that the house was clean and the backyard was great for the dogs. We cannot recommend this property

This beach shack is no frills but was great and suitably clean for an older style place. We loved the big backyard and location and it was very comfortable for our low key week away. Only comment is really the advertising on Stayz - it definitely does not have air con or a balcony(!) and the trundle making up 5th bed is definitely a child only size - short walk to beach and cafes, shops, pub and cliff walks made it a winner regardless for us though. Will visit again

will not rent this place again, did not like the hidden booking fee which was not divulged at the start, did not like the requirement of sending a copy of my driving licence, first time to be asked & yet the accommodation is so poor especially the sleeping amenities. Did not use any of the doonas, lucky we brought our own covers which we used, stained & off putting doonas and mattress. Not ever will we get this place again.
