There is an acre of property, with plenty of space to set up bocce ball, croquet, bean-bag toss, and washers (all included). The property backs up to hundreds of acres of forest.
Crystal Mountain features the best family skiing in the Midwest, with more than 50 slopes and a top-rated ski school. The resort is also home to two gorgeous golf courses, Michigan's only alpine slide, a pool/water-park, adventure park, art sculpture park, mountain bike trails, and a luxurious spa.
When you're ready to venture off-site, you will find that you are centrally located to everything Northern Michigan has to offer; snowmobiling, boating, beaches, casinos, golf courses, kayaking, fishing, mountain-biking, wineries, distilleries, fine dining, as well as casual pub fare.
House was very clean. Sleeping was comfortable and had plenty of blankets. Location was great as it’s kinda in the middle of everything. Highly recommend this place for a great vacation!!!
This was a very nice, private place to stay. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of room for the 5 of us. It had everything we needed! We will definitely stay here again!
The stay was nice.
The house was perfect for our needs. The back deck, grill, and fire pit allowed us to have a nice BBQ while we were there, complete with lawn games! The house was clean and the kitchen was well provisioned with all the cooking and dish ware we needed. The host sent us an email ahead of our visit with all the relevant info so we weren't left with questions. I would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable getaway in the area.
My family is from the Benzie area. We needed a close location to stay for a family reunion. The reunion was in Benzie. This was perfect. Additionally, the unit was a great price for four considering the holiday weekend (4th of July) and location (near Crystal Mountain). The unit was very well kept and had everything we needed.
The house was very nice and clean. Loved everything that was offered.
We enjoyed our stay. It had nice backyard with fire pit, nice porch, and chairs. We used the laundry and we were able to watch movie on family room TV. We cooked 3 times and it was easy with many kitchen utensils available. Pretty enjoyable stay. - Jim
The house was nice, and clean. Host was easy to communicate with. Deck, fireplace and yard games where very enjoyable! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals there. The only complaint is that the AC is one window unit upstairs (that maybe listed and I missed it) but with the fans available we did manage to get the house cool enough. Also the couch was very uncomfortable, you can feel every metal bar in it. Besides that nice little place! Slept a family of the 3 and a family of 4 very comfortably. The town itself is definitely a winter place more catered towards skiing. We went during the summer and still had a good time with the kids but some if the attractions in crystal mountain seemed over exagerated from what they really were.
Jeff was very proactive throughout the process. My only concern was the safety issues on the deck. Some boards are deteriorating and causing a tripping hazard. Loved all the nearby activities. Thank you sooo much!
We made the trek up from Indiana to try the slopes. We could not have been happier with our stay at the Scenic Cabin. It was perfect for the 4 of us and met all our needs. The fireplace was great to fire up in the evening to warm up the tired body:) We could come back in a heartbeat to stay at this hidden gem. If I could change one thing, I would add a hot tub on the deck. It would have been great to soak in one each evening.
