My family and I had a great winter stay at the ADK barn. It's warm, cozy, well equipped and roomy. It's in a really good location for skiing at Gore, visiting Lake George, snowmobiling and Sledding. The host was very accommodating and communicated extremely well before, during and after our stay. and helped us with local recommendations. The beds and furnishings are very comfortable and the morning sunrise view out the back windows/deck is outstanding. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

The barn is nicely appointed and tastefully decorated with all needed functions. It is a very short drive to Loon Lake so not quite waterfront. There is some noise from the road and the beds are typical of a rental. The listing is very accurate in saying that it will sleep quite a few, just know that being a renovated barn, noise travels quite well. I enjoyed my stay and had great communication with the host.

Cozy, Comfortable, and Full of Charm! Our family absolutely loved our stay at this Adirondack Base Camp! This beautifully restored barn is thoughtfully designed for families looking to escape and enjoy the Adirondacks year-round—whether for skiing, hiking, or simply unwinding in nature. The location is ideal—just off the highway for easy access, yet far enough away to ensure complete peace and quiet. The setting transports you to a simpler time, offering both rustic charm and modern comforts. We visited during one of the coldest days of the year and found the Franklin stove to be the perfect way to warm up after a full day of skiing at Gore. Gathering around the fire became one of our favorite parts of the trip! The upstairs sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate a large family, with space for nine, plus a pull-out futon downstairs for additional guests. The beds were cozy, with plenty of blankets and pillows for a great night's sleep. From its well-appointed design to its unbeatable location, this base camp was everything we hoped for and more. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-equipped retreat in the Adirondacks!

We booked a winter weekend to ski Gore Mountain with two teenage boys. The Barn is cozy and rustic with a great post ski vibe! Super clean, fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. The wood stove really heats up the place and we all enjoyed chilling by the fire. Gore is about 20 minutes away—easy to get to for early skiing. Great spot, plenty of sleeping space for the 4 of us!

Our young adults were so impressed with how beautiful, homey and cozy the barn was. It was perfect to unwind after a day of being out and about. It snowed the first night we were there and someone was out to plow in the morning before we left. We look forward to staying there again.

We had a great time at the barn! Clean and cozy, and perfectly located within walking distance of hikes or Loon Lake Beach. A short drive to many other amenities. Sherry was amazing with recommendations and super prompt with communications. Would definitely recommend for an Adirondack trip.

Wonderful place, very comfortable and accommodating and responsive hosts. So close to Chestertown and near to North Creek so there’s much to do. Clean, comfortable, quiet and overlooking woods. The mountains in the distance are magnificent and the stars at night just spectacular. Also, the fenced in yard was great.

We really enjoyed this beautiful space. The Barn has everything a family needs to be comfortable in the summertime - wonderful family areas, a well-organized and convenient kitchen, comfy bedrooms, lovely fenced in backyard and deck with grill and Side yard with fire pit. The lovely town beach was a short walk or bike-ride away. Several wonderful family hikes were a short drive away, with an excellent hike within walking distance. Our host was responsive to questions, welcoming and really works hard to ensure a great visit. We would stay at the Barn again in a heart- beat—I bet it’s just as awesome in the other seasons.

Sherry was fantastic from the start. She was very responsive to the reservation request and ensured check-in went smoothly. At entry we were welcomed with the smell of warm wood and the feeling that friends are letting us stay for the weekend. The big plus was a fenced in yard for our 7-year old puppy to run off leash. It just so happened that our stay aligned with the town’s anniversary with fireworks. Surprisingly, the wood home was insulated enough that it did not bother the pup. Absolutely amazing experience staying here. Thank you sherry!
