A Rare Mountaintop Retreat That Truly Has It All

The decor was tasteful cabin vibes, and it made the perfect backdrop for our family (9 people) to stay for our elopement at Blackwater Falls. The place was very clean, with a well equipped kitchen with great size glasses and mugs, both the main kitchen and the downstairs refreshments area. There are plenty of bathrooms and the basement area (plus hot-tub) provides a lot of fun for all. Would absolutely recommend!

We have stayed in many different homes in Canaan, but this was by far the cleanest. I liked all the Anker charger plugs placed strategically throughout the space. We had three guests who had remote work to do, and there was never an issue with plugs or internet. Overall, a five-star stay. Thank you!

Reviewer Comments: Lovely large cabin with plenty of space for us and our 5 teenagers, we enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub, the views were pretty, and it was close to blackwater falls for amazing hiking. The check-in location was very close to the cabin and on the way which was very convenient. The kitchen was nice and large with a great refrigerator and ample cooking utensils. We enjoyed the firepit and it was great having a basement rec room for our sons to enjoy. We would stay here again.

Yeti’s Den was an ideal spot for four older couples! With a well-stocked kitchen, roomy living area and bedrooms, fireplace and wood stove, and fun indoor pool/poker table/skee ball available, the house suited the chilly mornings and evenings in mid-March. The location allowed us to explore interesting places/restaurants in Davis, Thomas, Blackwater Falls area, and Timberline Mt. We found Yeti’s Den the perfect central spot for family members from three states to meet and make new memories!

There was lots of room and a nice size yard for the two children and dogs. We got snow even when the weather forecast has a small chance. It was a perfect winter wonderland. Exactly what we were looking for.

Yeti's Den is exactly as described in the listing and photos. The property is quiet, well kept/maintained, and the kitchen has all of the necessities (pots, pans, etc) necessary. We only used the fireplace on the second floor, but it was in great working condition with plenty of firewood available. Overall a fantastic investment for my family over the holiday. The only critique I would offer - and this is already covered in other reviews - is the thermostat. It resets a couple of times a day and the home will get quite chilly overnight if you don't pay attention to the temperature. If you plan to visit during the winter, I'd recommend bringing some small fire starters (or be willing to go outside and grab some kindling). As mentioned above, there is PLENTY of firewood available, but generally large pieces for when the fire is already burning hot.

Each year I take my 4 grandkids on a trip for Labor Day Weekend. This year was no exception. We all had a great time and the sight-seeing was great. We had some good dinners and played games and had a ball.

Gorgeous home. Clean and well-decorated, with thoughtful organization and great amenities. Peaceful location, surrounded by trees. We loved our time here and would definitely go back.

Check in very easy. Place was clean and well stocked kitchen. Lots of plates, pot, pans, utensils Nice big fridge. Great hot tub. Grill worked fine. Deck and outdoor chairs need some TLC We would definitely stay here again

Seriously one of the most equip homes I have ever stayed it! Usually places like this are short on dishes and pots and pans but this was nothing like that! This was packed with things we didn't even think about until later, thought we were screwed but turns out they had everything we needed! It was clean, cozy, spacious, and in a beautiful location. Our group is aiming to book the same place each year now! We LOVED it! Only down side, they have a lock on the thermostat. It was a bit warm when the windows were closed, I did not attempt to reach out to management so they may have let us access it if we asked, but I can't speak to it.

It has pretty much everything you could possibly want, plenty of wood for the fire pit (not all rentals do). Everything was clean and tidy. The location is close to two nice little towns (Davis and Thomas) with lots of cute little shops and more importantly for our group, we were close to lots of great hiking trails. One of our companions even found a relatively near-by (within an hour) beautiful lake to paddle board on - so there was something for everyone!
