Very nice and roomy modern updated home. Comfortable and open living and kitchen area. Well stocked kitchen and baths. Lots of windows and natural light. Conveniently close to town area. Some things to be aware of but would not deter me from staying again. Driveway is steep and tight and difficult to not scrape with a car or small/mid size SUV. Entry to house requires traversing a steep and somewhat sketchy walkway, especially in the dark. Entry gate requires a bit of flexibility and balance to open. Inside the house, the stairway to the lower floor (which contains the washer/dryer) is very steep and open to the kitchen area. As someone else mentioned, I would be cautious with small children and pets. House has a nice, large garage which renters unfortunately cannot use, which is a shame. Should be noted that we rented via VRBO but the entire process was then turned over to Vacasa. We didn't encounter any issues but this was not comforting.
The house is spectacular and they must have taken comments about the kitchen to heart it is super well appointed…spices, measuring spoons and cups and all sorts of pots and pans. The space and light is amazing! It was a great place to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner w friends!
This is the second time we have stayed in this home. It is well kept and has a great backyard for dogs. The open livingroom/dining room is quite spacious. It is a 2 bedroom house and the livingroom sofa is very large and could accommodate 2 adults or several children. The kitchen is on the small side, but up to date and had everything we needed. There is second TV in the guest room. Water pressure is good in both bathrooms. We enjoyed the location which is just a few minutes from town. It was quiet and restful and a nice getaway from the heat of the desert. Our only suggestion/complaint is that it is a very steep driveway that leads to a ramp and stairs to the house. The driveway had no working lights (the ramp and stairs had lights). It is also difficult to maneuver a car in such a tight space. You’ll need to turn around or manage to back down a fairly dark, long driveway.
Great place for a getaway with a girlfriend. We enjoyed our stay and all the touches in the well appointed home.
Cedars in the Sky did not disappoint. This house was clean, relaxing, peaceful, well stocked and close to town. An added bonus were the stunning steller jay birds in the surrounding pines seeking peanuts. Tips for those bringing dogs: houses with wooden decks can be fearful for some dogs. Two of our three dogs were hesitant to walk on the large wood decks and backyard steps which we did not anticipate. Fortunately, we were able to buy canvas drop cloths at the local hardware store which eliminated their fear and they then loved hanging out on the front porch. Also, minutes away is the Idyllwild Nature Center which had wonderful shady and relatively flat trails where leased dogs were welcome - our favorite field trip! We would definitely stay at this beautiful home again.
Absolutely the best vacation rental I have ever had. Everything about it was perfect and that’s probably why it’s not available for the next 2.5 months. I will return sometime in the fall and highly recommend this to anybody.
Cedars in the Sky is a beautiful home with a fenced in yard, 2 decks, jacuzzi, fire pit and more. The home has windows on all sides which look out at the beautiful pines. It is less than a mile from town and close to many miles of trails. We enjoyed our getaway and will visit again!!
We absolutely LOVED this house. It was open and bright and beautiful. So so relaxing - we were happy staying home in it as much as possible. Yard was great for our dog but if you have a small dog you’d have to be very careful. Fence goes around full property but there are plenty of spaces where a small dog could escape. House had everything we needed to be comfortable. Comfortable bed, nice bathrooms. Easy location. Treacherous driveway so plan accordingly if snow. There are no condiments/spices/oils at all so you’d have to bring your own if you want to grill. We also had an issue with the hot tub but it was addressed and fixed quickly. Otherwise everything was fantastic!! And SUPER CLEAN!!
This is one of our VRBO Top 10 stays. Loved the fenced in yard for our pup. Will stay again.
Our family had an amazing stay and our pups loved running around in the snowy backyard
Quiet, Clean, Good Location. We will be back.
Great house, great location, within walking to hikes and town. Great years for pup to run around in. Hot tub was amazing!
This cabin was amazing and exactly as described and very dog friendly! Highly recommend!
Loved the open floor plan of this house and being able to have the kitchen, dining room, and living room all viewable from each other. This is a very cozy and beautifully designed home and everything was in like-new condition. The large and SUPER comfy sectional was so nice, as well as the multiple outdoor seating areas and private hot tub. While you’re close to neighbors we still felt very private. Beds are extremely comfortable and we slept great. Close to the nature center hiking trails and just a few minutes drive to downtown restaurants and the grocery store. Highly recommend. Bringing a few more of your own blankets may be needed as the bedding was fairly light for winter when we stayed, and they lacked coffee mugs (only had huge mugs that were more like soup bowls). While fully-fenced and our dog enjoyed it, there are multiple openings under the fence line where your dog can get out if it’s small or an escape artist. Logs can be moved to block these to some degree but a more permanent solution would be ideal.
House was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog with fenced in yard …. Everything was very very nice! Big windows made the inside feel like outside Would stay here again for sure…
