Mentioned in Herman Melville’s famed book, Moby Dick, Sag Harbor lies just between the villages of East Hampton and Southampton, and North of Bridgehampton, in the heart of the Hamptons. Settled in the early 1700s Sag Harbor became a prosperous harbor and the first commercial port in the United States.
Today it boasts the most fantastic restaurants, boutique shops, galleries, vineyards, a beautiful harbor, beaches and so much more. We can provide lots of recommendations!
The Hampton Jitney comes into the center of town and is a 12 minute walk to the house. Alternatively, if you drive, there are two parking spaces on the property, and ample parking on adjacent streets and immediately in front of the house.
To note:
The stairs are the original 1893 staircase, so are steeper than a modern staircase, there is a stair gate at the top of the stairs
The house is on a main road in Sag Harbor Village so traffic can be heard. Although the backyard is fully fenced.
This was a most enjoyable stay in Sag Harbor with 5 stars for cleanliness, location, dealing with owners!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful village house. The house is modern yet full of antique details and charm. Location is great - walking distance to town. The owners/host were so easy to work with - responsive and accommodating - from initial inquiry to check out. Thank you
We had another lovely stay at this sag property. Very centralized location and clean house. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Would love to come back again!
We had a great time here! The house is perfectly situated walking distance from the village and beach. The garage office was crucial for me since I worked during much of my multi-week stay. It allowed me to concentrate while my family could enjoy the house. The hosts were very attentive and even helped in an emergency one evening as I was dealing with tech issues for work. Thank you!
Great property, amazing location, very kid friendly w toys / high chair / etc. and the owners were very accommodating and helpful!
My husband and I stayed here for the week with our one year old and dog and had the most amazing time! The house is beautifully decorated, very clean, and fully stocked with everything you need (towels, shampoo, kitchen appliances, two beach chairs). The backyard is fully fenced and private, the kids room has toys in the drawers, and there’s game boards in the kitchen bench. It’s walking distance to town but far enough that it’s quiet in the evening (you do hear some cars on Hampton street as it’s a “main” road but nothing too noticeable!). Grainne was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Great place, great location- we hope to return again next summer!
7 members in our family 22 thru middle 50's Wifi worked well very clean everything we needed outside of wash cloths outdoor shower was very nice would stay again
Awesome house in a terrific location. Very well-equipped kitchen. Delightful hosts.
This is a beautiful and spacious house with tons of great amenities!! The location is perfect - you can walk to the town of Sag Harbor easily and often. We had to be all over the Hamptons and Long Island to keep up with our kids - This house was a perfect home base!!! We are hoping to return! MR
Six of us had a lovely weekend - the home is beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable (even the top bunk!). The kitchen, too, is well equipped and made for very easy, very pretty meals. All is an easy walk to town, too! The owners were incredibly easy to reach and provided a ton of useful detail.
