This home was one of the best rentals we’ve stayed at. This was our first time at Oak Island and will definitely be coming back. The home was very cozy, and pool was just the right temp all week. It had all utensils, pots, pans and dishes to cook with. Location was only a very short drive to the beach. We rented a golf cart and was able to get everywhere we wanted to go and leave our vehicle at the home. Highly recommend this home.
We loved our stay here! It was immaculately clean. It was the perfect size and perfectly furnished for having a toddler. (We did move some knickknacks.) The kitchen was well supplied. The back deck and pool area was fantastic!! The water was warm enough for the toddler to stay in for a while! The seating there was great! We enjoyed time on the front porch every day. We were fortunate enough to have a light breeze so the temps were perfect. We brought an adjustable baby gate and used it on the front porch at the (few) steps so we also used the front porch as an additional play area. We were lucky enough to have an additional adult (grandmother) with us so she drove the parents and toddler to and from the beach rather than try to find parking. We had been warned that it could be difficult. I think the walk is doable, but not really with a 4 mo old infant and a two yr old in the heat. Driving worked well for us. In the evenings we easily found parking at the beach. This is our first time of not staying right on the beach. It saved us a ton of money. For us and the ages of the children (which affects time on the beach) this was perfect!
