South Haven, Michigan
This beautiful farmhouse was once described as "a fine parsonage" for a country church that used to be located on the property. The old parsonage just received a total one year renovation. This home is located in a tranquil country setting and has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and will accommodate up to 8 people comfortably. Of course, there is brand new central air conditioning for your comfort, and there is whole house filtered and softened water. The first floor has newly refinished, original hardwood floors and the entire house enjoys new windows. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, including a large master with a Jack-n-Jill closet. A bonus bedroom is located on the first floor. One bathroom has an original beautiful claw foot tub and shower and the other bathroom has a walk-in shower with a built in seat. The kitchen has brand new appliances and cabinets, as well as a pass through window to the dining room to make entertaining easy. The new side by side refrigerator has filtered through the door water and ice and the new stove is a safe electric model with an easy to clean glass top and no open burners. There is also a new dishwasher and the mud room has a stacked washer and dryer. The dining room has a sliding glass door that leads to a brand new spacious deck with a patio set and grill. There is a second brand new deck located off of the combined laundry, mud and a second bathroom. There are ceiling fans throughout the home and brand new LED lighting fixtures.
This charming home is located on a large corner lot on over an acre of farmland, which is also. surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland. There are many beautiful trees and shrubs throughout the huge yard, including a large maple with a 2 seat swing.
Downtown South Haven and the beaches are a 5 minute ride to the South and Fennville Wine Country and Saugatuck are a short ride to the North. The location is an ideal country setting right in the middle of Wine Country, beaches, golfing, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, cross country skiing, hiking, biking and fall color tours.
Coming from the South on Route 31 take exit 26 (109th) (Dutch Farms), turn East (left) to 68th Street, then turn North (left) to the property.

I stayed in mid October 2022, perfect time of year to stay in South Haven. Beautiful vibrant trees and corn fields surrounding the property, very peaceful. Stayed with 5 other friends comfortably and happily. House is larger than it looks, and very cozy. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great host as well. Thank you, we will be back!
Great location in the country with great views from the porch. Quiet. Roomy house. Fantastic yard.
This was our second “ annual” visit to the parsonage home. All of our family reunited in the peaceful, comfortable and scenic home. While enjoying family time and beautiful views, we gathered for board games, wine & charcuterie boards and late night movies. We ran out of propane for the grill and notified our owner who replaced it within 15 minutes! We would recommend this lovely welcoming home to families and close friends too. We loved that we were in farm/winery country but only 10 minutes to the beach!
We had very mixed feelings about our experience. The place has charm, with hardwood floors and several beautiful antique pieces of furniture. Upon arrival, we soon noticed a cupboard in the kitchen that had a great deal of mouse droppings. There were mouse repellant pouches in every empty drawer, and electronic pest repellants plugged in on each level. We immediately contacted the host and asked if there was a rodent problem. He said he was not aware of a problem, but he apologized, and he came over while we were out and cleaned up the area. The repellant measures were pretty effective, because we did not see a live mouse during the rest of our stay. There was an odor and a couple of droppings that showed the problem was not completely resolved. On the other hand, the rest of the house looked clean, and the owner’s quick response was appreciated. He was also very gracious when we realized we had mistakenly reserved the property for only 3 days when we had intended to book for 4 days. We didn’t realize our mistake until the cleaning crew came while we were out and found our belongings still there. The host offered to either to extend our stay or to allow us to leave 4 hours later than the stated checkout time. We appreciate his leniency. So given each of these situations, we feel that the host was very responsive and did what he could to make our stay pleasant.
Property was exactly as described, well equipped and clean. Communication with the property owner was great. Worked perfect for 5 friends and myself to charter fishing out of South Haven. We all agree that we will be back! Thank you for the enjoyable stay Tavo!
Home was fantastic, very clean
Beautiful old yet updated farmhouse with plenty of charm and sweet ambiance! This was the perfect location for our first family get together with our adult children and their young families! 4 very cozy bedrooms with comfy beds and nice bedding in each, new windows were pretty obvious as the house stayed at a comfortable temperature with no draftiness. Nice shower and tub for the littles, towels provided! Washer and dryer came in very handy, so thoughtful to provide detergent. Really loved the conair cuisine coffee pot, bought some fresh beans and enjoyed awesome coffee every day! I think I need one ? Lots of room out back to run and play, there were beach toys available, a swing , plenty of movies and games for kids, adults too. It was so convenient and quite nice to have a pantry stocked with any spices ya may need! Pots, pans, baking dishes, powdered sugars, baking soda even, we contributed some items to the pantry stash as well, my son in law picked up some fresh fruit from the Dutch bakery just a few miles up the road and made a cobbler, it was so wonderful to have the baking supplies to be able to do that without having to run to grocery, which by the way is just about 7 minutes away, as well as the south haven beach and lighthouse just a mere 10 minutes away or so. We grabbed a pizza at a place not far in Pullman one night, it was very good and convenient on our travel day! The bottle of wine left was so kind, we loved it! Such a great place, I could go on and on! Tavo was very accommodating and communication was spot on!! I know we will look into coming back in the future!
Very much enjoyed our stay in this clean and updated house in the Michigan countryside. Beautiful, scenic lot with a great overlook of green fields from the deck and a large lot of natural land. Tavo was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one (including providing linens and towels, firewood, and setting up some Disney music for our little one when we got there). He also responded very quickly to a couple questions we had prior to our trip as well as one we had right when we got there, and was very helpful. We love getting away to Michigan whenever we can, and this was a great location for getting to different areas (South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland). Great house and great host, We had a wonderful stay. Thanks again!
This is a rehabbed property which is situated in the country, yet just an easy 12-minute drive to South Haven. Very relaxing atmosphere with 2 decks, and fire pit, looking out on a pastoral setting. Spacious with 3 bedrooms upstairs, and one on main floor. The main floor is accessible with two steps up to the main entrance. Both bathrooms are on the main floor. Very-well equipped kitchen, with a LARGE pantry with so many items useful for the kitchen. Furnishings are from an earlier era. During these times of COVID, we did alot of meal prep and consumption on-site, and very much appreciated the sense of space and distance from others. Eateries in South Haven seemed crowded, and with not as clear observed precautions around distancing. Finally, the proprietor is very responsive, with excellent communication. There was a repair issue attended to the same day, with clear communication of timing, and of the resolution, so that we were able to maintain distance. Worked well for what we were looking for; we'd stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of beaches close by. Walmart and Meijer were a short drive away for groceries. The farmhouse is located on a nice size lot with lots of room for kids to play. Very charming and quiet.
